After 2500 hours of WT, I have finally decided to uninstall it.
I first started actively playing War Thunder when Update 1.77 came out. Back then it was a new experience for me and felt refreshing after games like CS:GO and R6S. My friends didn't catch on to the game as much as I did, so I was always playing on my own.
During the last updates, the War Thunder experience for me has been reduced to a bland "kill, die, rage, repeat" for me and its not fun. People always say you remember the good experiences you get from playing WT, I legitemately can't think of anytime I had as much fun in WT during the last 6 months as in other games.
Another main reason for me uninstalling is Gaijin, with the last couple updates they have shown me that they don't actually care about what made WT special and only add the most hpyed ♥♥♥♥ so they can make more money (why exactly is the Ka-50 premium? It's not a foreign vehicle and not a prototype) and it's really infuriating. The group of people who cries loudest gets what they want, and usually that is a new modern tank like the M1A2 or probably the T-90 soon.

If I could turn the clock back about 1 year, I would have never invested so much time into WT and continued playing actually fun games with my friends. If I knew back then what I know now I would have stayed far, far away from this game. It may be fun for a couple of months, but as soon as you learn the actual story about it you quickly lose any motivation to play it. Maybe in a couple of moths when they have finally fixed the SM.92s propellers dying instantly and Helicopters spawning with atgms at the start of a match I will come back, but for now, I'd rather spend my time counting grains of sand at a beach than play War Thunder.

I guess an update is in order. As it happens, another 5k hours have gone into this game (I am deeply regretting my life choices) and to be honest, its gotten a bit better. You just learn to accept the bs this game throws at you. Of course Gaijin is still making the absolute worst decisions for literally everyone, be it in terms of vehicle additions or economy changes. If it weren't for the grind, keeping me hooked on getting new stuff to unlock, spade and never touch again. I wouldn't have played another 500 hours. Its just not fun anymore, you win a game, cool, now what. There's just no dopamine release anymore.
