A mix of Rust, 7 days to die, and Battlefield? Pretty fun time sink, even in complete solo-play, obviously better with friends. A range of bug fixes / QoL features are a must though, not being able to move placed objects and only getting a fraction of the resources back when you destroy an item is annoying. The skins are pretty and the world is massive, maybe a bit too massive for the limited number of spawn points. However, I can't say many negative things since this experience was all in self in-game hosted server which the dev's warn does not provide the same refined experience that the hosted servers do. Performance is wildly inconsistent graphics wise, and it seems that FPS may be capped at 60 even though there is are settings for 30/60/120/200? It just seems to ignore what you set.

As addicting as hunting steam badges.

Probably one of the best games (if not the best) I have ever played, to 100% the game and frozen wild content (without all data/holo/voice collectables) it has been about 72hrs of gameplay. Great story, great playthrough, great everything. I have over 5,000 hours in Final Fantasy XIV and would recommend this game before I touched that thing with a 10ft pole again. This is my one of two reviews, and lets be honest, this is my only review..... Dead Island is there for pillar of the community..... Otherwise it would have taken me nearly 13+ years to actually review a steam game.... I hope they sequel the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game hard, so they can take my money.
