I'm the #1 Burger King Wi-Fi user, the most 1337 netbook hacker (with Linux ofc), a Void Linux user, and I will tell you why you should use Linux instead of Windows when your Acer laptop from Wal-Mart blows up again.
PPC and HPPA are great CPU architecures, SPARC is trash (Especially with Linux), IA64 can give you a nice OpenVMS powered space heater, X86 is meh but it's in every cheap PC you can get for nothing from a scrap pile, MIPS is alright (but needs a cooling fan), and ARM is cheap but powerful.
