Now we come to the end of the life for MWII 2022, and was it worth it?

to put it simply, no not really....

when it came to the beta for MWII i was hopeful, the game felt fun, had decent maps and had some changes that i was interested in giving a go, but this came as complete bait.

Infinity Ward were stubborn about this game till the very last moment it lived, thinking they knew better than the community that are thier source of income, and for what?

We never got promised featured that are a must have such as-

- fully functional minima with dots
- a meaningful prestiege system
- a well balanced multiplayer
- a continuation on the sucesses of Warzone 1

the dots on the minimap dont exist because they dont want to be punished for firing weapons, thats what a suppressor was for....

the prestiege system now means that i dont care that someone has a high level because it means nothing...

the multiplayer has had several overpowered seasonal weapons, and the mx guardian was a mistake of a gun to add....

Warzone 2 ruins what the original stood for, and had to dial back changes to keep a somewhat stable playerbase that had already been fractured by that point....

only positive i have is for the campaign, the story is decent and was fun to enjoy, and multiplayer can have a few good matches albeit plagued by skill based match making.

how we have a game a year gone, that refused to remember what it stood for means that MWII was a failure for what i was hoping for, ive played too much and the grind for orion was all that brought me back.

i hope sledgehammer can bring things back in MWIII and its sad that it took them not even a quarter of the time, to bring back what people really wanted and listen to the community, this is why i trust them more than infinity ward to bring some form of hope back to this franchise, but we shall see
