This is a great game. I never played the original, but am really enjoying the Definitive Edition. The game runs quite smoothly even on 30FPS, and still looks good even with medium graphics settings.

The story so far is engaging, and the characters are interesting.

I look forward to continuing the story and seeing where it leads.

This game is great, whether you're playing seriously or just to relax. You can play it however you want thanks to the wide range of win-conditions, leaders, and map types.
As well as this, the game has a great art style (less 'realistic' and more 'cartoon-like' than Civ 5).
I would definitely recommend this game, based on both the gameplay and the graphics..
