9/10 Game


I had no clue about this game until I saw Danger tweet about doing the OST for it. So I watched a trailer, liked what I saw, got a demo key at some point during the fall and loved it even more.


Fast forward to release and it's incredible. The soundtrack is absolutely top tier. Danger is an amazing artist and imo is in the same league as Daft Punk, Carpenter Brut or Justice. This OST is even more refreshing compared to the other work by Danger so seeing this other side was amazing


Gameplay: It says co-op but it's only really co-op in combat I believe. I had no issues with combat really, the only things I could improve on explaining things a bit more. For instance you can charge up the same attack for each person to do a duo attack but if you hold that longer you can do a stronger one. Unless I missed something I don't think was explained. As well, there's one instance where you get interference from an enemy known as a Hornet that affects the timing of attacks but it also didn't explain how to do the timing. I didn't figure it out until much later accidentally. There's also a few bosses that have some boss only gimmicks as well. Gameplay loop outside of combat is fine, go around and collect things, explore, get collectibles. Only gripe with that is when you have free look enabled you can accidentally do a 180 a lot which is frustrating.

Story: Heartfelt, cute, I loved it, I YEARNED. My heart. I loved it so much. It was also funny and wow. They had the voice actors in the same room to do recordings to make it more organic and it shows. Yu and Kay just work so much. I love them.

Soundtrack: Once again, this sound track is perfect, go listen to it on Spotify, but it, everything. Danger is amazing.

Other thoughts/comments to devs: Great game, seriously. I cannot put into words how warm this game made my heart. I want more. I didn't really experience too many bugs. One I encountered twice gave me a hard crash but I noticed what happened so I was able to avoid it. One bug let me go out of bounds on one island but it did nothing as it just respawned me on the island again. Couple of map bugs. Nothing that kept me from 100%ing the game though. Also a couple of typos but once again, nothing that kept me from immensely enjoying the game. So the 9/10 reflects the issues of those bugs. I will not hold the typos against you guys cause you are a French team and probably speak 1 more language than I do so lol

Secret boss (one of the guide says there's 3 but 2 are story related i'm 99% sure so it's impossible to miss them I think).

It'll take you around 15-17 hours to 100% it. Maybe a bit more if you're speedrunning it. I've 100%'d it.

There's 2 endings. It was a little confusing which dialogue I had to pick to get the other but luckily the game makes a separate autosave right before doing the last mission so getting both endings is easy and whew both endings..... bittersweet for one and just depressing for the other..... I know I said I wanted more but logically I don't think there's anything left to tell for Yu and Kay. Maybe another story in universe but not with them as the direct protagonists.

10/10 More remasters when please

This is a banger, I didn't know about this game until Danger tweeted about doing music for it. Played the demo, was great in every way but the music is so so so so good. This song is just amazing. And the rest of his music is just as good. Danger is a top tier artist.

Empire at War was one of my favourite games when I was younger, I played it so much and it's one of my top Star Wars games. My go to's were Warcraft 3, C&C Generals and this. But out of those.... this is the best. I love that there's not much resource management which seems wack for an RTS but it works. I don't have to worry too much about losing a battle, I just keep slamming down units until I win. It plays almost perfect on modern PC outside of a couple of minor graphical issues as well. Really worth the money this game is. The DLC is also, imo, one of the most unique pieces of Star Wars gaming. Please give us more pirate/not rebel/imperial/jedi stuff I'm begging you :(

Pros:
Pretty good voice acting and writing, decent tiddy game imo.

Cons:
://///////// Only big tiddies? Wheres small? Pretty much the same body type for each girl. Also labels bad end as being a slave to Noelle or Kira when imo those are the best endings? Hello devs don't be cowards? Maybe give in to being a slave for a mom for once and get out of your house? Give Jane actual abs and muscles and be more tomboy?

Honestly buy this game or else. If you've got any brain cells you'd know this game and series is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great and this is the perfect place to start the series. Hours of entertainment for the price as well.
