Really good game. The previous game was funny but in a very dry wit way. This one is funny in an over the top way. I think it's a bad change but it doesn't matter. It's still fun.

Playing Yakuza as someone who's never been interested in Japanese media before is like visiting a foreign city and then immediately having a fever dream esque adventure there where memories just come in as flashes. Yakuza 0 is the best starting point. You should try it.

Lackluster sequel. Didn't play Evil Genius when it came out, but it had a lot of issues. I had hoped this would take most of the mechanics and refine them, but instead it seems they simplified them drastically, and the game is missing a lot of the art direction that make the first one enjoyable.

Evil Genius 1 was already easy enough that a 10 year old would be able to beat it, not sure why this was a necessary change.

it's pretty okay

Very shallow game that uses a complex UI to hide the fact that there's not much going on. Basically a clicker style game with turns instead of waiting for stuff to finish.

worth it just for "the worker" narrator you get if you're playing a fanatic egalitarian empire.

A quick, simple, and fun strategy game. Requires a lot of thought but doesn't require much learning at all. Simpler than chess, more interesting than checkers.

Despite using socialist imagery and words, democracy 3 has continued to fail to provide any decent gameplay for anarchists or anything more libertarian than Stalin on the left side of the spectrum. The closest you can get to the syndie utopia is full self employment, which is pro-capitalist in this game because dumbass liberals.
