Nothing short of a masterpiece, this is what happens when developers are not literally handicapped by their higher ups and investors, you can feel how much this game meant to everyone involved in their relatively small studio of 30 people, without getting into too much detail, the story doesn't hold your hand to understand whats going on, it gives you just the right amount of information and clues so you can connect the dots yourself, and the writing is immaculate from start to finish, the soundtrack is a masterpiece, the world building is an absolute work of art, every frame you look at can be turned into a 4k wallpaper, the combat is takes a good spin off the traditional turn based combat, except it really does rely on parrying too much and in the late game some specific enemies can hit you up to 19 times in 1 turn in of which if any of the said 19 hits touch you, you get eviscerated from existence, and some characters can deal hundreds of millions of damage and being able to do that is of course a choice but the option to do that does a little suck the fun out of some fights, maybe a hard cap on damage vs some bosses should have been implemented specifically to them, and the amount of content god dayum, so much content for a game that i bought for 45$, makes you feel like triple AAA gaming is literally cooked

when they created season 2 im so sure they were on some of that good ♥♥♥♥, they promised a more defensive focused playstyle and reduced chip damage only to go out of their way and do the exact opposite, every character now barely has any counterplay including my character, offence is universal for every character now string > stance > 50/50, its just so unfun, feels like they looked back at fighting games in the past and said "damn mortal kombat X was successful, ♥♥♥♥ it lets copy neutral from there" and now offence is just sprinting at mach 3 speeds and 50 50ing you instantly, its so easy to be put in such a chronically disadvantageous position now and characters are at worst -14 from the most outrageous positions they put you in

excuse me bandai but what even is this? is this even allowed? this is really disappointing, i really enjoyed the base game but this? we need another free dlc for compensation, so let me explain what we got, recycled enemies, a map that as soon as you activate the first ever mist you apparently explored 25% of the map which is smaller than the map you start the game in, 2 recycled enemies 1 of them is recolored with blue and shoved into rooms then they proceed to call them a boss fight?...
this is beyond lazy, and no the hellfire knight doesn't justify this insanely lazy effort, new story content? no story in here sorry to break it to you unless you call vestiges story for some god forsaken reason

Im going to sum it up really fast, story is trash, combat is fun and requires execution timing and alot of skill, online aka netcode sucks and beyond one of the worst ones, if you buy this be ready for minimum of 4 frame delays and be ready to be opened up by 2Ms because everything becomes unreactable, so essentially good game good combat bad story and netcode.
