I love rhythm games, and I love fps. This game blends the two fairly well, but tends to lean in the rhythm game direction more. The gameplay took a few sessions to really start to get hooked; but once I really got into it, I loved it. The music and the visual style are very distinctive and well executed, and the difficulty ramps fairly evenly. The curve makes for some early scenes that are really too easy imho, but once you start exploring the higher difficulties and later scenes you really start to get challenged. There is such a great feeling when you weave through a hail of bullets and then mow down the half dozen vague, shifting figures that fired them at you.
I will say do not expect to have an aim god experience. From what I have played the game is more tuned for action-movie-esque experience with the auto aim calibrated to encourage flinging bullets fairly wildly. If you want the game to require more carefully placed shots you can turn on the "deadeye" modifier, but I don't recommend it. VR controls don't yet seem to have to precision to track the micro-movements needed for a serious firearms simulation.

Update to the last sentence: VR controls are plenty precise, I am just bad xD. I still don't recommend it though because it really changes the feel of the game. Without the Deadeye modifier you really feel like a badass and can really get into the music. I will even dance a little to the music because I'm not focusing on lining up the shots, ADSing and tracking their movement. You just flick and hip fire to the beat. If I want to do the super precise careful shooting I will just play a game made for it like Pavlov or Onward. This isn't to say that I don't appreciate the mode being in the game. It makes a great "new game+" style option to really challenge yourself once you get to the point where Hard is the only difficulty you play on. But to just have fun and get some exercise and feel really cool while doing it I tend to leave it off. In this way I really understand why the devs left it as a modifier and not the default way to play the game.
