Now yes, these developers are kind of shoddy for releasing this game twice for full price, but the game itself is
extremely fun. This is one of my first RTS's, and now I plan on playing more from the genre.

The Good
Theres nothing more fun than to build a huge army to annihilate other players, and also with the newly added "Titans". The titans literally stomp on anything in their way, and you would need alot of firepower to stop them. There are also a good variety of them, and all of them are unique. For example: The orbital Titan, Helios, can link with a teleporter, fly to another planet, and teleport other units while attacking at the same time. There is even a system creator where you can make your own solar systems.

The Bad
Unfortunatly, some things have been done slightly wrong. Solar systems seem very empty, only supporting up to 4 planets stably. It can go up to 16, but thats only if your cpu can handle it, and you need a VERY heafty cpu to do that. My cpu so far seems to only support about 8 max. This would be okay if other players spawned more spread out, but on the randomly generated maps there is only 1 starting planet for each system. This is EXTREMELY frusterating because players can spawn really close to you since the planets cannot really support more than 4 people, and having the max amount of players in a game (10) spawn on the same planet can be way too hectic for the size of 1 planet. I once spawned in and I had another commander spawn right next to me. The default maps are a little better in terms of starting planets, but playing the same map over and over again can get repetitive really fast.

You would think the system designer would fix this issue, but it really doesn't. On my PC, it crashes a lot when all the planets generate, making it really difficult to actually make a system.

I also didn't like the lack of options in the game. Compared to Supreme Commander, there are very little options and difficulty levels for AI Skirmish. There is way too little customization for AI Skirmishes

TL;DR, Final Verdict

Pros
  • Fun gameplay
  • Solar System Designer
  • Titans are cool

Cons
  • Solar systems feel vacant
  • Randomly generated systems need more starting planets
  • Solar System Designer bugs
  • Not enough AI difficulty levels and options for skirmish

8/10 Very good

There is definitley fun to be had with this game, even with its flaws. Just try to get some of your friends to hop on and then the real fun begins. Definitely not worth its full price, pick it up if its on sale like I did. If you want a more in depth RTS, go pick up Supreme Commander Forged Alliance.

Extremely fun game, played it alot on the Xbox One

Capcom just NEEDS to fix this game. It runs pretty well on my computer, but it will just crash radomly all the time. I'd be in the middle of a boss fight, exploring, killing zombies, and then it will crash. They really need to fix this, then I'll change my review to posititive.

UPDATE: I installed windows 7 on my other hard drive and runs beautifully, no crashes. Even the FPS is better. Lesson learned: Do NOT try to run this on windows 10, it runs like garbage on that operating system for some reason.

I usually don't play this game on PC, so thats why I don't have that many hours on it. I usually play it on the Ps vita, which is AMAZING by the way, because bringing this masterpiece ON THE GO is just so awesome. Although before you buy this game, just note, that this game is a huge grind and really all you do in the game is shoot badguys over and over and over. But the thing that makes shooting badguys over and over and over again fun is the guns, skills and basically all the different ways you can kill an enemy. Thats what really keeps this game alive, with its endless and unique weapons. Basically every gun in the game is different. And there are TONS of them. You probably will never encounter the same gun twice. Thats what makes this game so good, and so fun even on the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs, its just a different experience everytime you play. And with 4 player co-op, this game is just endless fun.

9.5/10
(for the sometimes repetitive gameplay)
