I've been playing this game on the Steam deck and it feels a perfect fit for this platform. The game plays very much like a more interactive 'choose your own adventure' and suits settling yourself down with a cup of tea; on the sofa in my case. On the Steam deck it uses the mouse and keyboard configuration by default and no tweaking is needed. The size of the main text can be changed to suit which I appreciate although the text on the options given to select from remains the same which is small though manageable.

In-game, there is a strong feeling of time and place. It looks good with effective use of appropriate music, photographs and illustrations. The mechanics of the game work well as you make your choices at various points and see how you're affected. As yet, I've only been playing one of the three characters but so far it all feels very Lovecraftian as the detailed plot develops; I'm a big fan of the Cthulhu mythos. I'm not sure where it will go and I'm looking forward to finding out how all three stories interplay with and affect one another.

Edit: I've already made some choices I'm not sure about; it will be interesting to play through a number of times to see how different decisions play out

I'd recommend it to fans of HPL and the Cthulhu mythos, tabletop roleplaying games (it has a feel of a single player roleplaying scenario), and immersive story telling. It certainly seems to be successful at what it's attempting to do.
