The previously-banned Australian version of Left 4 Dead 2 has been approved for release by the Australian Classification Board - but at a price.

A database entry published yesterday reveals that the zombie sequel was approved an 'MA 15+' rating in Aus, upturning the previous 'banning' issued last month.

But, according to the board's notes, the Australian version no longer contains "depictions of decapitation, dismemberment, wound detail or piles of dead bodies lying about the environment. No wound detail is shown and the implicitly dead bodies and blood splatter disappear as they touch the ground."
