I smell the (albeit overused term) masterpiece just from the 2 hours of playing. First of all, it runs excellent, the HW requirements are grossly inaccurate. I played KCD1 for a long time right before this came out and I see the immediate improvement in EVERYTHING, especially combat but also overall immersion and optimization. KCD2 literally runs better than KCD1.

Fix the shooting, add more negative perks and buff the negative perks because current trait builds are limiting and unfun, also some occupations are just too expensive. Please rework the aiming. Great update

Download texture and audio improvement mods and this becomes the definitive way to play this masterpiece.

This is the most genuine, pure unfiltered FUN I've had in a video game for the longest time ever.
Interactive environment, storytelling that occurs naturally from the gameplay, utterly inert of unfairness.
The battlefield team-work really comes to life here in a variety of beautiful maps.
The only downside stems from the greatness of the unorthodox gamemodes, usually being a thematic part of an event.
The problem is that it is limited, and so the game has official, everstanding modes coupled with event-locked modes or simply modes that do not stay for ever. These I find to be the highlight of the game, but also sieges.
Sieges are what differentiates this game from the likes of Mordhau. That game is a wretched game inhabited by smelly tryhards. No, in this game you do have skill ceiling but the combat feels much more fun. Duels are perhaps the weakest point of Chivalry, in comparison to Mordhau perhaps, however do not let yourself believe that this game lacks any complexity at all. It is simply different, and equally mechanical. Grab a spear as a castle defender and stab people when they try to jump from a siege tower. Grab a knife stuck in your teammate and throw it at someone. This game is fun.

The combat is severe garbage. It is by far the worst thing in the game and makes it extremely unenjoyable. I really regret buying this game. Could write a 9 hour youtube essay about why this is literally the worst combat out of any game i have played.
