A game that tests the limits of both my creative writing and my economic min maxxing skills.
This is one of those games that have tens of "Wow" mechanics that will sell you on the game and an absurd amount of freedom for the player to interact with all of it.

So buy it, make your democratically elected fascist fungi the best it can be, and politic/war with the flood, The Imperium of man, the friendly giant bugs who built their utopia on slavery, and the generically named min maxxed war robots. (Oddly kind of appropriate for the players that play them, huh..)

-Install full vanilla expanded mod series and pawnmorpher
-Start as tribals with huge melee skills and gradually become civilized and technologically advanced
-Produce cocaine to be used in battle
-You did all this just to get the mutasyringes and turn everyone you meet into rats
-Die to the next raid because your colony is entirely made up of cocaine infused rats

The game lets anyone express who they are through medieval violence.
As for me? It lets me be the filthiest, most dishonorable, and most eccentric rat I am capable of being.
All the hot plague fleas will hop on you if you triplemorph into throw as a final maul blow, you'll grow two tail sizes if you manage to point behind someone and one shot maul someone in the second or two they look away, and you'll get banned from a server for dropping a bandage after first hit and killing them as they use it.
ten rats out of ten. Can't wait for wamen update.

For Honor is good game and you buy now, yes yes.

That one early access game you saw criken play a few years ago is back and more badass than ever. In fact it's one of the best games on steam.
To re iterate: Barotrauma is one of the best games on steam, there is so much depth to a game that you can play so easily and simply with your friends.
There is always more to be done, more experiences to be had, more complex social situations to be involved in, more ridiculous plans and situations to make and escape from. Above all, the devs care a lot about their game and continually update it with more and more with every passing few months, now is a great time to get in on Barotauma and hit those trends when it's fully released and you're fully familiar with it.

A few stories from a power mongering long time player:
I once apprehended several negative individuals and as a rehabilitation program sent them to complete a long 200 meter cave, they all died one by one and those that returned begging to be let back in were blown up and torn apart by railgun and coilgun fire after being released with minimal firepower.
I also once convinced an entire submarine that the only other person who knew how to wire was the one who was wiring the entire sub to open its doors all at once at the press of a button, almost immediately completely flooding the sub.
Conquering the entire submarine through manipulation, application of martial force, intelligent planning, or however I want is usually my primary goal in this game. Only those I authorize shall have access to firearms. I do this almost every time unless I'm trying something else.

I was having a hard time placing things after a bunch of people died in my base and left everything around, so I told a friend I'd keep him alive if he cleaned my base.
10/10 Would hire a maid again.

Damn good framework, multiplayer will be amazing even if it adds nothing to it, and then there's other possible future types of tiles or different victory conditions.

If I were to deliver a small complaint, a pet peeve even, it would be that as soon as someone's employed they bring their resources onto the imaginary conveyor instead of actually delivering stuff, it'd take a bit of work to implement but having people actually have to move their product to a house to cash it in would be great...That is really my biggest complaint currently.

UPDATE: The small pet peeve I have is still there but this game is still badass with the multiplayer implemented. The DLC is cheap enough to be worth buying for pretty much anyone who plays the game, and while signy can be annoying the snake and dragon clans have their weaknesses and I would say they are balanced. (at least on a casual level as there are no glaring issues.)

I DEFINITELY recommend to get two copies while it's on sale to give to a buddy as it is best when you can consistently play the multiplayer. It may be hard to find a match suited to your skill level but the AI is definitely up to par on all fronts except micromanaging and being a bit slow to react.

I love this game.

Single player has always been great.
Online is complete trash because of cheaters running rampant. Literally anyone can click like 5 buttons and be in the game with the ability to literally prevent anyone of their choosing from playing the game at anytime.
It is extremely fun otherwise.
