Hands down, this is one of the best train sims as of early 2025. Sure, it has its flaws, but at least it’s not overly reliant on DLC. While some people complain about the DLS (the in-game mod workshop) being slow, there are third-party websites where you can download new addons at normal speeds.

When it comes to modding the game on your own (from changing laucher background to changing bogie on a train for example), you’ll need some understanding of how games work, particularly in terms of coding. However, if you’re just looking for a fun sandbox train game, it’s incredibly intuitive—simply load up a scenario or map and place trains to your liking.

The launch yesterday was a disaster. From what we were promised, we actually got:
A steam engine
A route to Kraków (about an hour of driving)
A 1980 scenario

This doesn't feel like it's coming out of Early Access—it’s more like it's coming out of alpha.
Another thing is that I don’t even think the 1980 scenario was properly tested. Why?
AI trains are literally from the '90s and '00s.
Cars spawn on top of each other.
Cars sound like a swarm of bees.
Some players reported issues with signals not turning green in the steam engine scenarios.

Additionally, I noticed that on the route to Kraków, there’s a literal medium-voltage cable at the same level as the track.
Don’t get me wrong—I still believe this game has potential. However, at this stage, it’s starting to feel like a cash grab, especially after the promised editor and “much more,” as teased in the trailer which were not included in the full version.

I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it in a physical version rather than steam only in 2018, but only now i've sat down and actually finished the game

what can i say
Pros
- Original Concept
- Fun Scenarios
- I've actually had fun managing my productions
Cons
- Game is bugged to hell and back, there was a moment when my hen house was built but the "in process of building" animation was still playing, or cars instead of using a bridge, would drive around the lake
- Optimization issues, one day everything works in 60 fps and next 15 fps

in conclusion
very fun, but not worth 20€

Pretty cheap dlc that gives you a great start for collecting british assets

- Map is showing its age
- small number of included scenarios (however there is a huge variety of scenarios on steam workshop)
