Only enjoyment I got from this was blasting racism and homophobia through my mic using Soundpad.

Garbage game that will never improve until EA get rid of all their useless DEI hires, such as Danielle Lalonders. She's a racist failed indie game dev who bragged about not hiring white people, and then accused publishers of being racist because no one wanted to give her $400k to make a racist visual novel. People like her are the reason why this game sucks.

This is by far the worst game I've ever played. Every other Halo game besides this one is better. If you want to play Halo, buy the Master Chief Collection. This game is a joke.
-Controller aim assist is so strong that it does all the work for you.
-Skill Based Matchmaking for quickplay lobbies in a game that has a RANKED PLAYLIST
-No ping restrictions, of course, so the game is ruined by laggy mexicans just like every other free game on console.
-Gaining battlepass XP is a joke. The only way to gain XP is by doing specific challenges, but since you can't choose which gamemode or maps you want to play, you'll be wasting a lot of time making no progress.
-Just as badly optimized and janky as Battlefield 2042.
-Voice chat is disabled by default, no all text chat, can't see anyone's ping, and no way to report people.

Gaming in 2021 is a joke.

The game was fun until SBMM kicked in and matched me against Europoors as a North American in a casual lobby in a free to play game. I should not have to play against people on the opposite side of the globe or laggy third world mexican Xbox players who can't afford games let alone an internet connection that isn't dial-up.
There's nothing enjoyable about trying to shoot welfare bandits that move around looking like Powerpoint presentations.

The bot support is great, but attempting to disguise the bots as real players by giving them names real players would use is disgusting. Some of the bots have TTV in their name which is ridiculous.

You have to install Origin and useless PunkBuster for a game purchased on Steam in 2021.
Hopefully Dice will smarten up before they release 2042.
Edit: It also installs useless, unwanted programs such as ESN Sonar and BattleLog Web Plugins. You also have to jump through hoops to prevent Origin and PunkBuster from opening on PC startup. 4 additional programs to play a game from 2014 is unacceptable.
