Pretty fun

OK, so where do i being....

So, first of all i want to say that i was a extreme fan of the original HAWKEN and enjoyed playing it a lot, but unfortunately my PC at the time was not able to run it properly so i didn't play it as much and i got extremely sad aswell when it got shutdown on Steam as that is when i actually managed to get a proper PC and run it properly.

Either way, when i saw on steam that it got re-released as "HAWKEN reborn" i got extremely excited as there were rumors around of a possible "HAWKEN 2" and i was extremely sceptical about it and also lost hope while time passed of HAWKEN hopefully returning.

So i excitedly downloaded, installed and booted the game and was ready for some old HAWKEN PvP only to realize... There was no PvP. Do not get me wrong, the original HAWKEN also had a PvE gamemode, but that was like a side gamemode, it wasn't the main appeal of the game, the thing that made HAWKEN, well... HAWKEN, was the PvP, with all the dashes, abilities, weapons, etc. It was perfect for a PvP environment and that is what made it fun. But when i played this, it just felt shallow, enemies are extremely easy to kill and boring and whenever you fight a mech they just stand there and do nothing most the time, it's just, so boring... All the movement that you are able to do like Dashing, hovering, etc. Are useless, they have no use for now atleast in that PvE environment, they are so more fitted for PvP.

I have read the Roadmap so i have seen that more mechs, weapons and even mulitplayer COOP will be added togheter with mech abilities like the original, but it doesn't feel the same, i just hope they will maybe rethink their approach on the game as it is still in a pretty early stage and possibly add a PvP gamemode in the future.

And talking about the PvE, as mentioned it feels pretty shallow, for now at the stage it is, plus from what i have mentioned earlier i cannot recommend it, but i just hope overtime the developers will be able to change my mind and make me fall in love with this franchise once more. <3

I am ashamed to say from where i found out about the game but, still loved it to bits. The art style, memeable story and levels were amazing (besides the final level, you'll see why if you try it). :^)

Grindy, but is still a pretty nice game with a pretty good lore
