As usual, a release paradox game is an unfinished and buggy mess, which will need a few more years in the oven to be considered good.

While the economy system is very cool and fascinating, it still only functions as a command economy simulator, with each nation practicing ww2 era German economic operations

The Politics system is arguably a step down from vic2, but it does have some features which provide a more interesting playstyle, provided the rest of them were actually fun

Diplomacy is touted as such a big and in depth system when in reality it just provides the illusion of complexity, everything is just a fancy declare war button

War had so many corners cut it's basically a ball at this point which the player basically has no control over besides how hard they want to throw it

if you aren't a slave to the evil paradox dlc empire, wait a year, and come back again to see if this game is good yet
