What a fantastic game. An innovative piece of Art.
Exactly what that kind of genre desperately needed.

The well balanced interactions between inside and outside is diverse, challenging, satisfying and suited. The stellar map keeps driving, remainds u constantly to the deadly environment your "small" Ark is traveling. This matches with the story and event screens which make parts of the game like reading a book inbetween, boosting your in-mind-video-sequence imagination. (I recommend reading them all)

Basemanagement is straight forward with all relevant information at hand. (Sector opening, managing, specialization and interaction between is also one of those innovative outstandings)
Science tree with its interlinked tech dependencies and optimizations is deep, smart and deep-smart.

The overall atmosphere convergents to a dark, thrilling, 'scifi-basebuilder'-'survival-adventure'-hybrid experience with 'Doom'-like impressions. Cause somehow u feel like Dr. Samuel Hayden the head of the UAC developing and constructing some super UAC high tech complex ready to be taken over by hell deamons ; but of course there are no hell deamons, just humans ... and some highly advanced AI ... or should i call it Sky-Net?
Music and sound catch it perfectly.

IMO its a great game despite some reviews suggesting that it is "unfair". Dont misunderstand, its not the usual bob-the-builder game: "build first, think later". Quite the opposite in fact: "think first, build later" ... even better: "read, think forward then build".
The tutorials and tooltips exist to be read.
The pause button is your friend.
The power switch is your friend.
Save your progression.
And hey, dont forget to save Lassie. This dog saved my ass.

Hope u enjoy the game like i did.

Like the game itself, but as some others
stated; dont like this microtransaction practice.
Yes, noticed that this practice is widely enforced
consens today... but that doesnt mean that its
automatically right, right?
Why?
Microtransactions is a method of
sneaking into one's wallet; obviously, its a
much more forcing decision in wanting an
already "owned" game's content to be complete/playable,
than making the initial decision to buy it.
Yes, its a good strategy to make money, and
there are plenty of ways to do so, but who
would sell his granny for a few bucks?
Yes bro, microtransactions are "micro",
but it stacks... and thats the point where
(especially younger) fellows may lose grip on their
expenses.
So the problem here is: its a business model that is basically founded on
the principle in wanting people losing grip on their expenses.
The more people losing grip, the higher the profits.
What does that do to a community, any community, in the longterm?
No bro, no one says developers shouldnt be paid properly.
But there is a difference between publisher/producer and developer.
Strictly speaking, the developer does the "dirty"/programming work (no offense intended),
the publisher/producer makes the profits. Thats ok... IF developers
are properly paid.
What would not be ok, would be attempts in justifying the existance of
microtransactions in a kind of:
"we cannot pay devs properly in avoidance of microtransactions".
Thats not the matter bro, its a matter of greed, its a matter of balance,
its a matter of accepting a bit less in the short (but more on the long),
and therefore its also a matter of wisdom.
Avoiding microtransactions wont make any publisher/producer sleep under a
bridge... as gaming market is still highly profitable, even without "micros".
And as granny would say: "millions are still millions, even with a few less..."
Besides, when u die, u cant take it with u bro.

Anyway, greetings to the devs of za4 for such a great work. I also
liked zat very much; and it would be still my no.1 if there were only
one centilitre less blood in za4 ;.

P.S.: Is this a bug?
Hitting an elite with a strong sniper rifle can make him tumble, but sometimes
u shoot his head without ANY indication of hitting him... its like u shoot with water bro ;
I know that damage is taken but a little little headshake would be nice (like the rind-shake of the
butcher or some blood).
Also noticed that the "hammer" (sometimes) wont stun surrounding enemies, this could be
a bit annoying in tricky situations...
