paid map in a game where all maps are free, nothing is new or exciting from the other maps as far as gameplay goes, not worth 3.99, not worth .99.

It is so beautiful, has so much potential, and the editor is great. So exciting to see ARMA get new content again!

What I rate this game 7.5/10 overall.

Firewatch is an extremely addictive game that pits you agaisnt the Wyoming wilderness and the people there. I would consider Firewatch a mystery thriller while also putting in some horror aspects. Ever when you first figure out people are watching you I found myself looking behind my back or checking around corners to make sure I wasnt being followed. I found myself extremely intrenched in the story line and itching to find out what happens next. However after about an hour I experienced an awful headache I would assume from the more cartoon like graphics, however this may have just been coinidence, so Im not counting it agaisnt it.

GRAPHICS/ANIMATION: 9/10
Firewatch is an extremely beautiful game and has the world progress with the story line, for example, when you first start off and make it to your tower, you are set in a humid Wyoming forest. But as the story goes on a massive forest fire will start to spread and by the end of the game it is very smokey and orange out. I adored the cliff sides you could look over and just take in the vast landscape. The animations were great as well, you can actually look down and see your feet move! (lol) However you do see other people in the game, and they are just silhouetted agaisnt the wilderness, however they do move in a believeable way for a human.

AUDIO: 6/10
I absolutely loved this games audio and soundtrack as where ever you were corresponded to what you were hearing. You could hear fireworks go off in the distance and the closer you got the more detail you could hear. I loved walking near the lakes or ponds as you could hear the vast wildlife come alive and make out different animals. When you were in a cave your feet would echo and you could hear wind swooshing through. However the music, while building up suspense, would go off in places you wouldnt expect it to, letting you know something was ahead.

GAMEPLAY: 6/10
I loved how realistic your movements were in the world, how you couldnt sprint everywhere like in other games. However I often found myself stuck on little rocks and such just because you couldnt "drop down" to places, so whenever you stood on a rock that would just be a little step over you would have to go back and walk down or else you would be stuck. I also found it annoying that whevener I picked something up in my tower, and attempted to put it back down, it would be flung to the floor and time after time I had to try to position my character in a way that he would chuck it onto the table. There were also no waypoints, which while annoying, was realistic and really made you think to where you were going next, and forcing you to seek out caches where you could update your map with any trails nearby. This was also a very short game, taking me only 2 hours to beat completely.

STORYLINE: 9.5/10
The storyline in this game kept me on the edge of my seat every minute playing it. I always was so curious what would happen next or who the stalker might be. The characters were extremely thought out and gave you many options to change the story. The ending was dissapointing and reminded me of Emily is Away by the fact you never get to really meet Delilah. However it left me hoping for a second one. Firewatch 2 PLEASE!

I would reccomend this game to anyone who likes intense, but short, story lines and who has the paitence to try to find their way around, with just a map and a compass.
