If you liked Jet Set Radio or Future, this is definitely a familiar feeling game, that you will definitely enjoy.
There's a story, little robots with big hands to jump at in one whole combo run that start easy and get harder, goofy dances on the characters and more music from Hideki Naganuma <3

Hands down, one of the best RPGs i've ever played.
This game does very well at making you feel useless until you learn how to play, similarly to how inexperienced
the main character Henry is at the beginning of the game. Skill points and perks really do feel earned in a way that is exceptional.
I'm not a major fan of the save system though sleeping in a bed or drinking Saviour Schnapps is at least more immersive than a menu to save all the time at will- though you can achieve this by modding anyway.

My only con is to do with the sword in the story- only Henry cares about it in some form of 'Game of Thrones' style honourary way. (His dad made it with him so he wants to deliver it to the lord who commisioned it.)

For a first time player as well it was refreshing to not have quests wait for you either- if you're doing your own thing and an NPC has asked you to meet them, don't be surprised if they give up waiting.

Insurgency Sandstorm would own the FPS scene if it wasn't plagued by really horrid optimisation issues, even on the beefiest of computers. Providing you can look past the occasional frame rate drops and latency on some occasions when you aim down the sights/scope of your weaponry, you will enjoy this game.
Their road map for what they want to add is large especially for a non-AAA development team but will ultimately add to both the game as well as it's community of hardcore FPS players.

Pros: Excellent gun play, impressive sound design, a better community than most FPS games, immersive firefights and teamwork and their fun new 'frenzy' mode.

Cons: Frame rate drops, ADS stuttering on occasion, current maps feel a bit similar to one another.

But overall i'd give this game a chance if you like the tactical FPS combat of Rainbow Six Siege and don't mind the slower pace in comparison to Counter Strike.

10/10 best shooter ever, especially when the russian/polish kids blast happy hardcore and screech

A video game that I received as part of the humble monthly that is well worth it. If you enjoy roguelike games, this is definitely worth a try. There are 3 main classes in the game (Fortress, Dash and Rampage) and they each have their own positives and negatives but you can upgrade parts you wrench from enemies and improve your own rig. 10/10 for bullet hell and replay value.
Sidenote- Death spawns your robot as a nemesis enemy in your next playthrough where you can retrieve your equipment which is amazing and this game is relatively hard if you're bad at roguelike games. (Though to a relatively decent roguelike player it's still a challenge)

If you only want to play as Megaman, even if he's a locked character, best of luck xD

A very inspired and in-depth text based game with a great amount of customisation options and a lot of gameplay to keep you engaged. 10/10 Huw, this is a great game.

To anyone else thinking about this, definitely give it a go :-)
