Only around 4 hours into playing around, honestly feels great to play this.

I'd recommend it for anyone who enjoyed Sonic Generations and Sonic Unleashed

Edit: After now completing the game, this is by far the best Sonic game. It lays out a foundation that can go up from here. Honestly it's got me positive for the future of the franchise. Sonic Team has the base and I hope they can go farther with it.

I initially made a small comment regarding VRC's choice about using EAC. While I don't agree with EAC and will stand by the fact that I won't subscribe to this platform ever again. I will leave an honest review of the time I've poured into this platform and for the friends I've made.

This gateway to a social gathering of individuals at first was rather intimidating for someone with social anxiety like myself. It was a bit easier to get into the grove of things, but over the course of the time that I've played, I've been plagued by public lobbies.

It got to the point where anytime I got on either every friend that was online was in a private world (doing what most do... degenerate things) or if there was a public/friends+ instance, I would be met with crashing/lag spikes from the sheer amount of people that try to cram in an instance. You can say this part is the fault of myself and the community as a whole, but that's what this game/platform really is.

The community is what and will forever drive a social platform such as this, ChillOut, or whatever else is out there. When a huge portion of the community work hard to make mods that assist those that would otherwise be unable to play, without the devs pushing those features out before just giving them the middle finger, it just paints a bad picture. I'm sure the "higher ups" are the main people that pushed for EAC to be a thing.

All in all.. I will still get on the platform if a friend reaches out to me, but I won't be coming back for public lobbies and this very strange 30FPS bug that plagued me prior to getting mods that fixed it. If any of the devs read this and end up banning me for the use of mods when EAC wasn't around, then I'll uninstall the game at that point.

I'd advise anyone to take any opinions slung around as a gain of salt and experience yourself what goes on, if the platform is for you, you do you.

After finishing up the main story of Shadowbringers, this has to be one of, if not my favorite story lines in any RPG recently. This is definitely on par with the best and deserves to be remembered for years to come.

I'm super excited for what Endwalker holds for the story.

As the avid Sonic the Hedgehog fan I've been over the years, my first ever game being Sonic CD on my mother's PC, it's with great pleasure to say this game is by far the best experience I've had in a long time. Not to say older Sonic games weren't good, cause I personally liked MOST of the titles.

Between great level design and fantastic music by Tee Lopez this game has what you want.

I now get to look forward to Sonic Forces release later this year, what a good year to be a Sonic fan :D

Edit: My last comment did not really age too well, but at least Sonic Forces was not a complete dumpster fire.
