Game is terrible. Tried to play through with a friend. Never finished it. Totally not because we never had time to continue. Now gimme my $1000.

You know...I primarily decided to play this game because I decided to turn it into a staring contest challenge with its blink mechanics. But as the story went on, I stopped caring about my staring contest because I was just completely drawn in by the game's narrative.

My eyes aren't red because they're dry from trying to keep them open. They're red from tears.

...All I'm gonna say is do not form an opinion about this game until you've played the boss fight for Act 2.

I really, really love this game, but this game is fundamentally flawed.

While Larian has done an amazing job translating DND into an open world setting, it's also bought about unwanted strife in actual DND to many veterans of the tabletop game. Many new players are discovering DND because of Baldur's Gate 3, but that also means new DND players are expecting DND to be like Baldur's Gate 3.

As a player and DM coming from DND first before Baldur's Gate 3, there is a sort of misconception now from new DND players starting because of Baldur's Gate 3 that everything will be handed to them on a silver platter - but in reality, DND is supposed to be a fantasy tabletop game grounded in reality. A game where your actions have consequences, where there are no redos, where there are sometimes no perfect endings.

As a video game, Baldur's Gate 3 is absolutely fantastic. But as DND, Baldur's Gate 3 is, unfortunately flawed, and doesn't capture the essence of what, in my opinion, makes DND great.

A friend was impostor 4 games in a row.

On the 5th game, everyone voted him out before anyone died "just in case". He was not the impostor.

Expecting a game like Fatal Bullet? Look elsewhere.

If you need another reason for why SAO is a terrible anime series, this game hits all those marks. I've always believed that despite SAO being such a terrible series, they at least had some pretty good games. But this was not one of those games.

Combat felt slow - button inputs felt delayed. Keyboard/mouse player? Have fun using your keyboard for camera controls instead of your mouse.

On paper, this looks like a great game, but in reality, it's pretty clunky.

It's TABS but with WW2 units. It's fun for a bit, but this game crashes way too much for my liking.

RIP Kazuhisa Hashimoto

The game feels like the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series. Just take out Naruto and slap in DBZ. The fighting controls are your standard Bandai anime fighter controls that we've seen throughout the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, and more recently My Hero Academia: One's Justice and Jump Force.

The overworld controls should seem somewhat familiar if you've played Zone of Enders, but I expected better flight controls considering Bandai Namco has one of the best arcade flight sim franchise in their library of games.

The RPG elements could be a little better considering CC2 developed the .HACK// franchise for Bandai - but they've seriously been lacking in the RPG department since they've pretty much been downgraded to developing anime games for Bandai - which as I've already mention have almost the exact same controls game after game.

The only consolation so far is this is at least better than One Piece: World Seeker.

It's a fun game for anime fans, but it could be so, so much better.
