fun 10 minute game

this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, they're releasing like one map a year and it's still faster than i can complete them. 10/10

Extremely good DLC, a perfect followup to the main game. Ramps up the difficulty and gives the game some much-needed extra playtime to really explore the mechanics on a deeper level. Also, one of the coolest ending sequences I've seen for a puzzle game.

The art is incredible, the combat system is one of the best I've ever experienced, and the metroidvania elements blend together nicely with the rest of the gameplay. What a game. I just wish there was more of it, because while the game isn't short by any means, it felt like the combat system merely scratched its own potential in most of the actual fights bar the final boss. If there is ever a DLC for this game, it will have some of the best boss fights in the medium.

Outside of gameplay, the game actually has quite a large focus on the narrative via dialogue and environmental worldbuilding. The story in general was excellently crafted, and it was very satisfying to incrementally piece together everything that had happened and was happening. It never felt like the game was holding my hand with the exposition, I love that it lets you discover the story on your own while not being overtly vague about it.

Extremely charming little escape room game, good puzzles and great art

It has more in common with a jigsaw puzzle than a logic puzzle such as Minesweeper. It never requires you to make a deduction deeper than a single step, and all of your time is simply spent on finding the next spot that has a trivial solution. I'm sure it's a fun time if that's all you're looking for from the game, but comparing it to actual logic puzzles with interesting solution paths is misleading.

I also found it quite disappointing how the resulting image is completely detached from the puzzle you're solving; the cells you colour are completely arbitrary, and get overridden by the picture once you've completed a section.

Fun freebie, great way to spend 15 minutes

it's good, puzzle quality on par with the first game. the story has a very different feel compared to the original, but was still quite enjoyable.
