Prey is an immersive and thrilling first person adventure that really hooks you in with its solid gameplay and intriguing storyline - and its pseudo-horror elements, depending on the difficulty you decide to play at. Almost everything in Prey just feels good, from its satisfying resource management system (getting rid of trash has never felt so gratifying), to its engaging level and enemy designs. Even the zero gravity sections are smooth, and only serve to heighten the sense of atmosphere surrounding Talos I. The graphics are excellent as well, featuring appealing retro-futuristic motifs juxtaposed with the harsh environment of space, all covered in a shiny next-gen feel.

The only gripe I have with Prey is its audio design - not with the actual sounds and music, which are great, but with how sound is presented to the player. Oftentimes noises just don't seem to be coming from where they're coming from, and the player can hear sounds from behind a wall (or ceiling/floor) like they're right beside them. This is also very evident with voice lines, which sometimes sound like they're coming from within the player's face, and other times, don't.

Other than that, though, Prey is pretty damn good.

Charming and poignant; this game is a sentimental narrative experience that will leave you in ruins.

Microtransactions for a game with over 25 DLCS costing about 5 dollars each.
Plus, the things you can buy actually affect in-game stats. Can you say "P2W"?
PAYDAY 2 used to be one of my favourite games, something I'd recommend everyone try at least once or twice. Now it's become a paid game with the worst F2P model of "spend real money to get skill".

Overkill, why?

Thank you, Valve, for taking responsibility of your actions and listening to the community's response.

Unfortunately, Valve's reputation has been permanently tarnished because of their short-lived, controversial paid mods policy. We can only hope that in moving forwards, Valve makes better, more rational, decisions.
