I am extremely disappointed with how Starry Studio, who made The Game "Once Human" has handled a recent issue in their game. After spending real money on in-game currency, I used it to buy cosmetics and loot boxes released on August 15th. However, due to a mistake on their part, they not only took away the items I rightfully purchased but also put my account into debt for the same currency that can only be obtained with real money.

This is completely unacceptable. I understand that mistakes happen, but punishing players for their own errors by removing items and creating debt is not how a reputable company should operate. I’ve tried reaching out for support, but the response has been inadequate, and I feel ignored.

I urge other players to be cautious when spending money on this game. Until Starry Studio makes this right, I can’t recommend this game to anyone. I hope they take responsibility for their actions and treat their customers fairly.

Really fun when you do a long mission only to get kicked at the end and get NOTHING from it.
No rewards, no exp, nothing just wasted time.

UPDATE April 2nd 2024
Nofio has now refunded the extra Battery and Strap I ordered, though not the full amount but it was only 1 EUR difference so I don't mind. This happened a while ago, as of Today.
Nofio has asked me to book a meeting call to go through a refund for the Nofio unit itself.
At least they are trying and I will continue to update this here if I get a refund at all or not.




UPDATE March 2nd 2024
After several E-Mails back and forth, me demanding my 2nd shipment with Nofio to be canceled (Extra Battery and Straps). They have still not gotten back to me. I'm starting to doubt that I'll ever get my money back or even the 2nd shipment, not that I want that anymore either.

Nofio Customer support is not at all customer friendly.
For the Money I spent and time I wasted on this. I'll happily sell my Nofio unite in the near future.



Living in Europe, I encountered some difficulties with the Nofio Wireless Adapter, particularly with unexpected customs fees when it was delivered via FedEx. I had to pay a Border Customs fee in cash, which was not communicated to me beforehand. This is something to be aware of if you're ordering within the EU.

However, my initial experience with the device itself has been positive. Setting it up was straightforward, and the battery came fully charged in the box. While there is a slight latency, it's hardly noticeable when fully immersed in VR. The weight of the device does pull the headset back, making fast movements uncomfortable, but the built-in fan system helps with heat management.

Overall, the freedom from wires is a game changer, though I'm still waiting for the extra battery and straps I ordered. I'm concerned about potential additional customs fees for these items. I've reached out to Nofio for clarification but have yet to receive a response. Once I have everything and can evaluate the full transaction process within the EU, I'll update this review. Looking forward to maximizing the device's potential in the future.

I'll leave a description of my experience with the Customer support and the result of the debate either here or somewhere else on Steam. Or potentially through DMs if this gets censored or deleted. IF curious you may leave a comment.

To keep it short, it's trying to be a Left 4 Dead clone of some sorts but in all honestly it does a very poor job in it.

Replay-ability is below mid and gun / game play mechanics are pretty basic and IF you have played any Left 4 Dead titles before, this game will not satisfy you. How ever if this is your first time in these Genre you might enjoy it as a mindless horde shooter.

Special Alien types are droky and easy to predict.
The AI is less fleshed out than the trailer makes it look.
From my last experience I had I'v grown bored of the game very fast and are probably not going to pick this back up again. I'd rather play Left 4 Dead instead.

The beginning is fine but as soon as you get to the open world aspect of the game.
It is a NONE STOP harassment by robots that are not only tough to kill on higher difficulty but also repair themselfs. If that wasn't making combat pointless enough, there is a camera and flying cameras on EVERY SINGLE BUSH AND TREE. Ready to call even more robots. It's relentless and annoying and combat feels pointless.

The Bunker part (first part) of the game was fun and enjoyable.
Everything past that made me stop playing.

Do I like the game. Yes.
Is it fun? Can be.. if it would not fking crash 4 times a match and ruin the fun for me. Not to mention how long you have to wait to play a certain mission type some times or have to AFK at the Armory for hours to get what you want..

As long as you have a functional decent/normal human life going on (aka you go to work or study) this is not worth my time with its unstable fking desyncs and crashes and random disconnects post launch.

It gets my blood boiling when a perfectly good run is ruined by this shat.

Pro's & Con's for this Game so far.

+ Difficulty adaptable and supports Casual and Tactical game play.
+ Game mechanics are simple and easy to understand (Recommend doing the advanced Tutorial for each class at least once)
+ Gore and Dark themed
+ Very fast Match Making
+ Lore friendly World/Level design


- Leveling and Unlocking items feels sluggish
- Game play feels repetitive already after 3.7h of Play time.
- Weapon Tiers and Mechanics are too similar, nothing unique or really exciting in the arsenal so far
- Weapons are exclusive to ones character
- Leveling feels slow and not rewarding. You just unlock more of the same looking weapons with minimal stat differences
- There is no Trading items or anything and Black market arsenal is very small even if you reach higher level.
- Skill tree is boring and the same for pretty much all Characters with minor differences
- Specials AI targets a player up on spawn and ignores everyone else, does not Aggro on others even if it takes damage from other players. That makes it predictable and seem crude.

Things I would like to see eventually if possible. That would reward exploring and leveling and doing missions more.

> Maybe have relics you find a 2nd currency to unlock or purchase augmentation
> Mission Mutations, a random modifier for higher difficulties than Easy for random events, buffs/debuffs to happen
> A lot more Missions and Difference in them
> More different Deployables like: Sentry Turret (Auto,Fire,Shotgun), A Barriere/Shield Bubble or Deployable Riot Shield to block a door.
> Auto Position ping deployed Medkits or Ammo
> Rework the Pinging system, its very hard to Ping a moving target sometimes.
> Ranged enemies Damage fall off over distance on easier difficulty

Well, these are the things I wish the Full game would have eventually. This is coming from someone who's played similar games before and also pre-purchased the game many months earlier when it was first advertised on Steam.

So the Game runs fine for me mostly. But for my significant other they have 0 Sound.
There are several Forum posts about this issue and the game has been out for Years.

The fact that this is STILL an issue and with SO MANY DLCs after so many Years and NOT being in Early access..
I do not think the game is worth its full price. Surly by now the Developers should have had enough time to figure this out.

I just recently bought a few avatars and hope they work in COVR too with all their features.

Alright the Hype was big for this one.
So I will be short about it.

Enemies have a rather crude AI. Combat mechanics feel limiting and not satisfying.
Waving at NPCs is redundant when you can just click on the button to interact, which is more accurate and faster.
Cool Idea but you tend to wave your arms like crazy sometimes to get it to work.
The world is Big but it feels empty, I have no real urge or desire to explore the world even tho you can climb pretty much everything.

There is Latency issues and enemy melee attack seem to me hit scan which is fine I guess but, not really satisfying in combat when it does not matter where you hold your weapon to block.

Overall yet another game promising big things in early access.
I'm getting so tired of buying half games and having to wait half a year or 2 for things to improve.


If you are interested but not sure about it, wait for some updates. Right now it is not any better than any other main stream desktop mmo rpg. Price is fine but, I got bored fast.
