Sadly ASE is done, it won't recover from Snail Games meddling and i feel for you all who are stuck with this game in current state, i hope that even if things will never be the same again for you all, that you can still find enjoyment in this game but i personally will be taking my leave from it.

Some things are good (the building system, the new looks for structures and armour and some of the new official creatures (the AA Dinos, Shasta, G-raptor and now the Bison) are awesome and look gorgeous

BTT is pretty good too though some of it should definitely not been locked behind a paywall, now the whole things out anyway, Lost colony is too new to quote but what is in there looks good for the most part and works well (though same with BTT some of it should not be pay walled for balance reasons)

Maps are hit and miss but generally the newer the map the better it is as they seem to be finding their footing The Island, Scorched Earth, Extinction and Ragnorok are Gorgeous in this version of the game.

Ofc there's bad too, lets start with the maps, The Center is not so good, it suffers from sandstonification much much more harshly than The Island does and then theres Ab, Aberration particularly is bad, its colours are wrong, its lighting is wrong its Official Creature is mid and generally its a lot of wasted potential for a beautiful and iconic map.

the Fantastic Tames... Exist for sure, Pyromane is cheap and low effort being a (Shadowmane with the Fire Wyvern egg texture on it) and wish i could choose which maps it spawned on, Dreadmare and Drakeling are better, might actually be worth buying but i cannot say i agree with the fantastic tame business model

and then there's the stuff i'm neutral on, for example Maeguana is something that exists, i see why people wanted the Maewing back, but this ain't the way it shoulda been done, Dreadnoughtus is the same, i don't hate it i think its... badly implemented and needs touching up

I will tentatively recommend ASA with the Caveat of it needs to keep up the quality of its recent releases, it has a lot of QoL features and a lot of what its done is good and generally seems to be improving but theres much that needs to be fixed, the bugs returning from ASE (some of which have been fixed by now but some still remain), The low effort fantastic tames that have cool concepts behind them and then just fumble the ball hard and the lackluster release of Paid DLC (come on 35% complete for a release, seriously?) needs to sorted but generally things are improving

I once said i'd play both but with ASE going the way of the dinosaur it looks like ASA really might be the only way to play Ark now, i feel for all of y'all who are stuck in ASE right now and i truly hope things get fixed becase Snail did y'all dirty <3

we've had a lot of fun in this game over the years but until things change and this game finds its way again i have to give this a thumbs down, do not buy it in its current state

Not worth it in the current state, hopefully this changes in future.

please remove eac it make this game s**t it was fun but i hardly get into battles without getting kicked instantly

its cool
