Update after patch 1.2:
They're finally taking some steps into the right direction. The game plays a lot more fluidly for me, and the driving frame-dips are not an issue anymore. However, there are still many flaws to work out, as a lot of the textures are still glitchy or just missing. Didn't mention this in my last review, but NPCs are still practically lifeless, as they behave the same as launch. Overall, this is a step in the right direction, and if you want to actually play through the game this might be a time to try it out. If you have issues with the game that aren't related to bugs, I'd definitely hold out until an update possibly comes out that overhauls things (hopefully in the next few months, but who knows).

The game itself is great in my opinion, and I love the world building and characters here. However in its current state there are many, many bugs that sometimes make the game unplayable (including one where I could not start a mission, even after waiting the appropriate amount of time). Performance is also questionable, as I had many frame-dips in driving portions specifically. If you're willing to look past these issues, then this game is fantastic and worth a shot. But I'd recommend waiting a while until they fix the major bugs into a more playable and enjoyable experience.

Gorgeous visuals, great gameplay, an amazing experience overall.

I'm going to try to make this simple. Rust is a harsh, non-forgiving survival game. You are going to die a lot. You are going to get raided, starve, killed, etc. A majority of the community is not friendly. I like this more preferably, as it's more realistic. Anyway, you can build a shelter, explore and conquer with friends, and have a blast. There are supply drops and radtowns (radiated towns with good loot usually, risky but the payout is big.) which give more things to do. Also note that this game is not perfect. Graphics are tweaked to be better yet, and there are a handful of bugs (horses run through walls and do Halo jumps for me). If you are willing to take the minor bugs along the way for a great game, I would recommend this game. Worth every dollar.

This game is fun. I've played on mobile and PC, and what I can say is the Steam version is a step above.

- It is easier to control (ex. when getting through tight areas)
- New exclusive Steam characters! (Not spoiling :D)
- I find the level editor easier to use, instead of a small screen like my phone's.
- Easier to record if you are a YouTuber, streamer, etc! And glorious 1080p 60fps, lets not forget that.

If you like this game and want to be able to take the next step (map-making, coin collecting, etc.) then I would recommend you get the Steam version!

I underestimated this game. I tried playing singleplayer a while back, and it wasn't really enjoyable for a long time. Once I heard the multiplayer version came out, I gave it another shot. This game is a lot of fun with a couple friends, and unlike some sandbox games, you always are exploring for new items and materials to survive. I've only played for about an hour but I would be completely comfortable playing this for a long session with some friends. Would recommend this game if you are into survival games but want an interesting twist.

This game is fantastic. It has all the features of the main game as well as factions and other features on some servers. I love playing this with friends and causing destruction.

This game is life. You can crash into cars and get in debt.

If you are looking for a fun 4 person free-roam co-op game, then Borderlands 2 is fantastic.
