I'm old, I suck, I never played older versions of CS, I am consistently a low table contributer, I usually turn off voice chat. But damn, I have a lot of fun with this, and occasionally pull off some great moments. :)

I've put quite a few hours into Starfield and I think it's okay.
The longer I play it, the more I understand some of the criticism that it's "re-skinned Skyrim"
Obviously it's more complex than that, but the re-use of assets and maps all over the place is a little disappointing and reminiscent of "You've seen one tomb you've seen them all" feeling in Skyrim.

Having virtually identical tunnel systems on planets star systems apart, with enemies standing in all the same spawn locations lends to the game feeling rather repetitive at times. (The enemy AI isn't anything to write home about either...)
A good number of the missions and encounters feel formulaic and copy/pasted as a result.

That all said, I still enjoy hopping in the ship and blowing things up, or tweaking the build on the ships, and some of the quests are interesting. I've certainly got my money's worth and will continue to play around with it.

But I'd warn people to temper their expectations. It doesn't feel particularly "next gen" It feels like an okay implementation of a few different game genre's sewn together into a larger experience. But there are far better base builders, far better space combat games, far better FPS games and far better story driven games out there.

It was ambitious to put them all together and for what was attempted it's decent.
So yes I do recommend it, cautiously, but know what you are getting into.

Fun, goofy, everything I was looking for.
I'm having fun with it, having only beaten 2 bounties so far.
I'll play more.

This may take over your life!
Always something to do and build and explore.
Once you have a stable power grid, it can run for days on end virtually unattended :)
I've had a lot of fun with this and the latest update (6) is great.

Immersive world, fun combat, an amazing world to explore.
I was never a fan of the Dark Souls games, but this setting and open world experience has me coming back to it over and over to explore what's over that next hill.
Take it slow, explore, don't worry too much about soul loss because there is always more to collect :)

I very much enjoy the Halo Infinite Multiplayer experience.
It's occasionally very one sided, but that's just bound to happen sometimes.
For the most part the matches over my 15 hours of play have been balanced enough to be enjoyable.
The gun play is fun, and the weapons varied enough to keep it interesting no matter what I have in hand at the time.
I haven't played a Halo campaign in many years, but based on the fun I've had in this engine, I'm excited to change that.

I've put a few hours into this now and so far I can say this is ticking a lot of boxes for a fun space based loot and shoot.
The combat is fun arcadey good times, the story is well presented and there appears to be a lot to do in the way of both story, random encounters and side missions.
I've admittedly only scratched the surface, but I'm really looking forward to the continued development and final product.

IT IS FUN.
I GOT MY MONEY'S WORTH.
Honestly, I felt I got my money's worth after completing the story.
Everything else has been a bonus.
You can solo it, you can team up with friends or randos; you can play it at any difficulty you are comfortable with. Is it the greatest loot grinder out there? Maybe not. It has it's flaws with story and maybe even balance to a point. But despite that, it's a fun engine to cause some havoc in.
Cool creatures, great effects, and a lot of build potential across the classes.

I have played about 24 hours in game prior to the steam launch and I very much like this game.
It is a fairly well balanced game, there is no pay to win, and while there are perks to elite status, it's not neccesary to enjoy the game.
It is a long grind if you want to get to well equipped Tier IV and V ships, but there is a lot of fun to be had along the way and you don't need those to have a good time. If you only ever play enough to get into tier II and IV you will have a great time in the Veteran queue for a long time.
It is a great game, with a good team behind it and a good core community.
I very much recommend it.
