They did it. They freaking did it.

A janky albeit charming horror-themed action game that feels dated by a few console generations. If an unofficial Parasyte game sounds up your alley, you're in luck.

A great game by a great developer that knows how to treat its community. No hoops, just fun; this is how you do a live service game.

I didn't expect a good game but at least a laugh. There's a handful of "one-liners" which are far, far outside the realm of humor. There's hardly any writing at all in fact.

Enjoyably atmospheric and offers a type of urban setting rarely available in games. Sadly, this atmosphere is negatively impacted by awful audio mixing, which makes the base game volume too low and the excessive number of loud jump scares painful to the ears. The controller support isn't great due to the right stick's motion feeling stilted and incremental rather than smooth.

For atmosphere alone, I'd recommend giving it a shot for the price. Hopefully the audio is improved so you don't share the pain that I do while typing this.

An immensely enjoyable strategy game with a great cast of characters (personality wise and gameplay variety). I'm not even a fan of games in this genre, but I've been converted.

A short but moving narrative that is driven by its exceptional dialogue and performance. There's an undercurrent of dread throughout the exchanges between the two main characters -- despite being flowered with pleasantries and hobbyist-level (although interesting) explanations of farming. These long-form conversations seem fit for stage plays or Quentin Tarantino movies and successfully pull you in, helping you form a mental image of who these characters are. As such, they'll stick with you well after the credits roll.

While I enjoyed LiS2 a lot more, this was a simple but unique story about loss held up by its two leads. There were no major stakes, just two people's ability to move forward from their rough childhood. Once again, a thoughtful and personal story from the talented folks at Dontnod.

Barely functional, unoriginal garbage.

It's a masterpiece.. bravo.
