Bosses are way too difficult people give in way too easily , rage quit after one death.
Too much repetetive gameplay and no good enemy variants
No proper communcation
No flexbility proper builds for rouge like gameplay.
Progression mostly locked behind the 8 nightfarerer boss.
Either you have 2 friends to play with or dont bother playing.
Playing with randoms is awful expierence.

I've been playing Wuthering Waves since its original launch (way before it hit Steam), so despite what my Steam hours might show, I've put in serious time with this game. Here's my honest take after experiencing everything from the rocky 1.0 launch to the current state.
The Good Stuff
This game is straight-up gorgeous! The open world looks amazing, the visuals are stunning, and the character models actually look BETTER than their promotional art (thanks Unreal Engine 4!). The gameplay is super satisfying with parkour-style movement, a grapple hook, and you can even fly in certain areas. Plus, you can transform into these "Echo" creatures (basically the game's version of Pokémon) that help you explore and fight. The combat feels great, especially when you're taking on Hologram bosses - these bad boys are basically normal bosses on steroids and some are just as tough as Souls-like game bosses. You really need to learn their patterns if you want to survive.
What's genuinely impressed me is how the devs have improved the OST - the music has gotten significantly better since launch. The story direction has also taken a turn for the better, especially post-2.0 content in Rinascita, even if it's still not groundbreaking.
What's impressed me most is how the devs actually listen to players. Let's be real - the 1.0 launch was pretty atrocious with tons of bugs and optimization issues that made the game nearly unplayable for many. But credit where it's due: the development team worked incredibly hard to fix these problems based on player feedback. They've been consistently implementing quality of life updates and performance improvements, which is genuinely commendable and refreshing compared to many other gacha games where devs just ignore or suppress what players want.
The Not-So-Great Stuff
Here's where things get concerning. The game is seriously losing its post-apocalyptic identity. The environments are becoming increasingly colorful and vivid, and the character designs just don't fit a post-apocalyptic world anymore. It's like they're abandoning what made the setting unique.
The F2P experience has gotten significantly worse on multiple fronts. First, you need to farm endlessly for good relics just to get by as F2P - we're talking near min-maxed builds to stay competitive. Even then, these days you practically need both the character banner AND their signature weapon banner to function properly.
But the real predatory design comes from the archetype team requirements. Look at cases like Phoebe + Zani, or now Carlotta + Ciaccona - these are specific team setups that require multiple 5-star limited characters to work effectively. It's heading toward the same predatory design as their previous game Punishing Gray Raven (PGR), where you basically need a full lineup of 5-star characters to bring out the full potential of these archetype teams.
WUWA players will defend this by saying "but the devs give lots of free rolls per patch!" - and that's true. But when you need the character + signature weapon + most likely extra copies or other specific 5-star limited characters just to make that character shine, it's genuinely bad design. The lack of new 4-star characters makes this worse - if we had more 4-stars that could fill missing party archetypes (like Erosion and Spectro Frazz), the character dependency issue wouldn't be nearly as problematic.
Yeah, it's a gacha game, so as a F2P player (like I am), you're limited in which characters you can play. You'll need to save your resources carefully for characters you really want. If you're just playing casually, you can totally clear content with the 4-star and main characters, but don't expect to breeze through endgame content without investing serious time into perfecting your builds.
About the story - despite what some fans claim, it's pretty mediocre in my opinion. The presentation is fantastic with beautiful animations and facial expressions, but the pre-2.0 story is just bad. I'd recommend skipping it and watching a YouTube summary instead. After you reach Rinascita (2.0+), it gets better, but it's still basically your typical power fantasy anime.
Also, there's a serious lack of male characters - there's a reason people joke and call this game "Gathering Wives." Your main character is your typical overpowered isekai protagonist that all the female characters instantly fall for. The few male characters that you do come across immediately show respect to you without any real reason. Most characters feel like one-dimensional stereotypes, and some characters like Calcharo (a Sephiroth-looking dude who's been available since day 1) still have zero story relevance.
Bottom Line
The game offers great enjoyment for casual players and isekai lovers who don't mind mediocre isekai story tropes. If you dig fast-paced combat, beautiful fantasy sci-fi worlds, and don't mind the typical gacha limitations, give it a shot! But if you expect a memorable story that'll stick with you for years, this isn't that game.
Overall, I'd recommend playing and trying the game, but not spending money on it - it's just not worth it. If you're weak to gacha games, either spend in moderation or stick strictly to F2P. Your wallet will thank you.

This game will test your durability and endurance to pain, and more pain.
Prepare to die, A LOT and probably rage quit a lot.

But the adventure itself and the journey through the pain is rewarding.

Ladies and gentlemen its a fun for all ages!
Has a fair variety of classes to play as.
You can easily find a favorite class that you can get attached to.
From the stealthy backstabber spy to the front line combat soldier that bombarts his enemies using a rocket launcher (how much awesome is that!?)

Advantages of Team Fortress 2:
-Free weapons, yes ALL the weapon arsenal is FREE, you can get any weapon by simply finding it, or crafting it. (not including skins , and special versions of the weapons, which I will explain later).
-Due the game being F2P....All game content is FREE*! (expect MVM tour which requires you to buy a special ticket that cost 1$ per use to play in), there is even a beta mode which you can play in and test the new mods and maps and give a feedback to the game and help in the devolpment of the game! And obviously all the future game content is absolutely FREE.
-Huge community , you will always find a playable server with almost full capacity of players, no more playing in low count player server with 5 people trying to scout the whole map just to get 2 kills in 1 match.
-Has a workshop support. You are a graphics modder? Want to show off your skills? Here's the place, help TF2 by adding new gear/ weapons and obviously cosmetic items.
-You can trade items with other players for paying a small amount of money to the mann co shop( I think it was 5$ and automaticly upgrade your steam account to a Premium one)

Even though all the advantages sound awesome there are some huge disadvanges about tf2.
Disadvantages
-The community itself.
It might be a huge one , doesn't nessarcly mean its a good one. Since Team Fortress 2 Went out F2P , a huge variety of players joined in to the party. But sadly most of them are underaged children that come from other FPS titles such as COD and Battlefield. Now you are probably asking, wait how is that supposed to effect the game? It effects in 2 ways.
First of all we all know how little kids react while getting killed a lot, simply raging and just starting to be annoying with the mic spamm it might be sound amusing to some, but for me its just annoying and its just sad to see how the current generation of kids is rotten and stupid to the core.
Secondly its their choises of classes and how they play with them.
Most of the f2p pick the most easiest classes for a cheap kill, how much times do I see in a pub server that at least 1/3 of my team is consisted of snipers, that all of them just camp in one spot waiting for someone to appear? This aint no CoD kiddos. And whats more funny they never change class (unless the same person keeps killing them with some other class and they decide "HEY THATS AN OP CLASS I'MA GO BE THAT CLASS ASWELL"!- normal Newbie f2p reaction)
And the other class that is really annoying is the Pyro. Pyro can inflict huge amount of damage with their flamethrowers, the closer they are to the enemy the more damage, These newbies exploit that fact and ignore any better methods to use pyro(such as switching weapons to inflicting burning critcal damage for example) and just how the tf2 community calls it they use the cheap dirty method of "w+ m1". They simply keep going forward and spamming the flamethrower all over the place like some paranoid kids that gets excited from getting some candy. Which leads to a lot of stray fire and pretty much ruined the spy class gameplay (well at least for me, back in my days it was fun, when people didn't set the whole place on fire).
Basicly they are no different from how they are playing in other FPS games , picking the over powered weapons, and sticking with them and hoping they will be good in the game with those weapons.
But team fortress 2 isn't about being solo gameplay and carrying the whole team, its about how much WELL you can contrubuite to your team in order to win the match. Teamwork and knowing your current "job" and what you are supposed to do, and choosing the correct classes for the correct situations is the key to win the match.

Due to that most of the F2P no offense are... one of the 3 options:
1. Total newbies (but they are okay, they understand how the game works etc and trying to help they are just too new to it and not expireanced enough)
2. Newbies+noobs- the worse combo you can have in your team.
3. Matured person that understand what he is doing. Most of the F2P that do play good are well matured once around 16 years old teenagers and older. They show Intelligence and understand through experience how the game works, and they learn fast and get better at the game very quickly.

Well thats to summ up the new fresh meat in Team Fortress 2, but what about the veteran players like me?
Well we are no sweet either.
P2P (premium to play) players are often abusing and insulting f2p players due their lack of knowledge and experience which i find sometimes disgusting of them to do. Of course I cant remove myself from this list I find myself insulting as well my own team for being stupid and not being able to help me to capture/ complete the goal of the match.
P2P player will also underestimate f2p player a lot, and will try their best to make fools out of the F2P players and make them rage.
They are also abusing them for their lack of appearance and lack of cosmetic items. "Meh lame gibus player"
"Ew gibus such a lame hat"
But of course not all the P2P players are like that , most of them are pretty awesome hard core players that love Team Fortress 2 and still do, some of them are even cool enough to teach newbies how to play. (rare to find those because simply they don't care).
But when you get to the level that you are experienced enough , P2P players will start respecting you and find playing with you is way more fun, that way you can make tons of new friends. Simply be a good teammate and learn how to respect others, P2P will respect you aswell.

Well thats pretty much sums up the community part now for the next part
-Cosmetic items and market value: In team fortress 2 there are cosmetic items that you can use to customize your favorite class to your liking with a huge variety of different hats and mics items , the possiblities are endless,
Wait how is that is a disadvantage? Well as you know you need to spend 5$ in the TF2 store shop in order to be able to trade items,so the only method that F2P users can get hats its by crafting them (not even by drop, I think they dont get hat drops). And saving up so much metal to be able to craft your favorite cosmetic item will take a huge amount of time of waiting and gameplay, while P2P can trade and get their favorite cosmetic items at faster rate. Which leads me to the next point. The market is super super broken atm. Due TF2 becoming a f2p game, the worth of the crafting INGREDIENTS decreased drasticly due more players playing tf2 = more crafting INGREDIENTS so it went down in its worth by a lot. Back in my days before TF2 was f2p a simple key that cost 2.5$ in the mann co shop took around 2 weeks or so of simply saving up your weapon drops and crafting metal out of them, now it takes almost x10 more time to get a simple one key... Which means its very hard to start from a scratch and leads you sometimes to simply buy your favorite hat off the market for like a less 1$ because saving up that much metal for so long time , just not worth it.
I dont want to start talking about strange weapons and australium and unusual hats these are just eh you could say, extra over the extra top cosmetic items. They really aren't a must have , they are just more unique than your standard weapons/cosmetic items.

Overwall Team Fortress 2 is a very fun playable game, it has awesome gameplay which you can play for hours non stop simply because of it being fun and silly. It can cause rage because of your team failure and the fact that you cant obtain your favorite wanted cosmetic item.
