UPDATE: I will be posting all future problems in this game in the comments section of this review because I can't be bothered to keep updating this review every time Arrowhead ♥♥♥♥♥ up.

This game is beyond useless. Three hours ago I was able to play no problems at all with my friends. Now magically three hours I can't. It's a case of Person A can connect to Person B, Person A can connect to Person C, Person A cannot connect to Person B and C at the same time. This is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ net coding I've ever seen in the history of video games. And what do people say oh it's only P2P no they have dedicated servers. Nobody ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ has a clue, this game is run by incompetent morons who couldn't code their way out of a wet paper bag. All that Sony money and they can't make something as basic as the co-op function of their co-op game work with any level of consistency. This game has the audacity to be damn near unplayable and thinks it has the right to 72 gigs of my drive. GARBAGE. Don't give arrowhead another cent, not one cent more. They deserve to fail at this point.

Alrighty here we go. So I of course never expected to have this game, I only just found out about it the other day because a friend was playing it and I was like the ♥♥♥♥ is flipwitch the forbidden sex hex. Hilarity ensued. Fast-forward a day I wake up to a steam notification and it is of course a gift copy of sex hex and I have a policy that I will always follow that if someone buys me a game no matter what it is I will play it.

So what is there to say about this game. Well let's get the obvious out of the way first, it's a porn game, we git tits bouncing all over the place, ♥♥♥♥♥ blasting ♥♥♥ everywhere, it's porn there's nothing more to it. But the core of the game, the real meat of the experience is quite possibly one of the best metroidvanias I've played in a long time, I think the last metroidvania I truly enjoyed was Valfaris. This right here though is something on another level, you're constantly in a state of feeling dirty because you know it's a porn game yet the music and gameplay loop is just so well done that you can't not have a great time. Then there's the pixel art both pornographic and non-pornographic, just the art style as a whole is absolutely on point.

You're exploring completing quests helping all kinds of NPCs that all have different dialogues and reactions based on which gender you are currently in that are just absolutely hilarious at times. The enemy variety is also pretty well done, I think the only variety that is lacking in my opinion is the death sex animations, you get 2 for each region regardless of what killed you, if you're female and die in goblin area spitroasted by 2 goblins every time, you're male and die in goblin area you're ridden by goblin chick, even though there's enemy variety you don't get death animation variety. I was hoping that if you get killed by one of the big you got an animation involving him but alas it's always the two goblin spitroast. The funniest part though is that when you do die, there's no skipping the sex animation, you have to see it through to the end to respawn. Needless to say I'm terrible at these kinds of games so I've watched the goblin spitroast a lot so it get's boring after a bit, this could be completely solved by having more animations based on what you died to instead of just two region based animations.

In closing all I'm gonna say is if you like metroidvania style games then this is definitely up there for a great take on the classic genre. Yes it's lewd, especially the real pornographic reward sessions you get for completing certain quests, and some of the dialog of those animations do an over the top job of reminding you that you are playing a porn game, and you'll constantly feel just a little dirty from it. But it's worth it, everything about this game is on point. And there it is, my first ever review of a porn game on Steam. You're gonna play this game and you'll have that thought cross your mind "Well there it is, I'm not me anymore. I'll never be me again." But you're wrong, you'll still be you, and you'll realize that that's who you always were. Happy Sex Hexing.
