Yet another Unreal Engine 5 title where the "gameplay" is sitting in the graphics settings instead of actually playing the game.
I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ is with these developers who ride Tim Sweeney's ♥♥♥♥ (and like it a lot), that make these tech demos on giant radiators called RTX4090s and never once durning the development looked at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance profiler for five seconds and think to themselves - "hmm this might not actually run well on lower spec hardware". Yeah, they wouldn't do that even if their lives depended on it.
You should take a look at how competent developers handle optimisation in their games, here are some examples:
- Days Gone (UE4)
- Death Stranding (Decima)
- Dead Island 2 (UE4)

Even unoptimised UE5 ♥♥♥♥ like Fortnite runs better, which is objectively way more advanced rendering wise.
Should have just used latest Source SDK or wait for Facepunch's S&box engine to become more stable.
