Despite a handful of lingering visual bugs and lacking some desired features... Phantom Liberty, from top to bottom, is a beautifully crafted bitter sweet send-off for this game. It reminded me why I’m in love with this franchise, this world, and its many characters.

It really took everything that the base game did well and turned it up a notch, all while benefiting from the years of hard-work and improvements made by the team at CD Projekt Red over the years - with Update 2.0 breathing new life into the base game.

Phantom Liberty is a true showcase of what CD Projekt Red is capable of when they take the time and put in the hard work and love into a project… and it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. Everything from the story and characters, to the world design, the sound and music, and how they can captivate the players attention using all of it in unison. All with badass cinematic moments, engaging dialogue with fantastic performances, and solid high intensity gameplay in between.

This expansion really does offer one of the highest quality cinematic open world RPG story experiences available to date and what I’d say is the best expansion for a game I have ever played personally. If you’re a fan of the main game — whether before or after all of the updates — then you are going to feel right at home with Phantom Liberty. And if you’ve been holding off on playing Cyberpunk 2077, then there has literally been no better time than now.

Play through the main game first and then enjoy this enthralling spy thriller.
