Only writing a review because people annoy me in their reviews.
The game is advertised as a somewhat rogue-like in which you lose your character permanently if you fail to return to orbit before the REAL TIME mission timer ends. It's a great little twist on the classic survival elements. If you can't plan ahead and think "Oh I'm gonna be gone for awhile, I should probably send my character back to orbit so I don't lose him" Then do that. Don't forget then blame the game and write a bad review.
Second, the lore, it's pretty alright nothing special. The aliens not existing is explained and if you bother to look ahead at future expansions and the covers, plus have actually watched the videos. They talk about how the place we explore is the zone, the spot thats been terraformed to be mostly earth like. Of course alien life isn't gonna really exist there because it likely can't sustain itself in our little earthy zone we've made. Now the story hints at leaving the zone which is where I expect we would see more alien biomes.
Third, the crafting in the game can be a bit much on the finite resources, could definitely use a rebalance of some sort but it's nothing to bothersome if you don't mind traveling back to a home base you've created, I find it only an issue if I'm making multiple bases around the mission area's and keep making heavy material use items. So I try to base in what I figure is the relative center of the mission area so traveling isn't too much of a hassle, storm coming? Dig out a rock or hide in a crevice or just brave it! There's way's around surviving without basing!
The game is great otherwise, the progression system and skill tree's are really good, combat isn't too shabby but it doesn't stand out uniquely from the rest. It's satisfying gathering material's and when you play with friends and dedicate your character to a certain talent and coordinate it becomes really fun, least for me that is. The possibilities with building different structures is very good, lots of potential to make cool things.

Good game, I lost my character because I was an idiot and didn't plan ahead. Luckily they gifted us all our characters back for Christmas.

honestly not bad, runs well on my pc, its free so i expect it to be like other mmos with cash shops, and i dont know what this button delay is but i haven't felt it

It's nice, runs very well on my 2070, no idea what people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about when it comes to fps.
The story is alright, level 20+ it's good, but I know a mix genre of people who play mmo for gameplay and those who play for story, and I think this can fulfill both of those roles since the story isn't necessary to pay attention to to know what you're doing to progress the game.
Server's are on and off but have improved since launch which is a good sign, the devs seem great, and the game gives me those vibes I used to get from the good classic days of BnS launch, or BDO launch, and how fun those were at launch and for the months afterwards. I just hope it's not ruined for me like those 2 were, it just feels right to me but thats my opinion

this is one of those games i stole my grandma's credit card as a kid to buy it, now im an adult who still plays. should say enough about it

New Genesis is fantastic, can't wait for whats to come
