To sum up the general opinion (and to throw in some of my own) about the game right now:

- Extremely poor-faith updates that nobody asked for
Micro-transactions in the form of overpriced skins
Nuked all community made mods (to upgrade to ue5 and to allow crossplay)

- Low player count
Due to an exodus of players after aforementioned updates

- Lack of creativity and/or inspiration
The game is mostly "CSGO but VR" without much else
Updates are barebones and infrequent

- "Bad faith" developers
Only focused on 'milking' the remaining players (skins)
Makes updates that hurt the community and that no-one asked for
Doesn't add anything that the community wants
Very little moderation in respect to toxicity and scandals

- Seemingly abandoned game
Developers seem to only focus on developing the Quest version of pavlov ("Shack" Pavlov)

+ Interesting community made content
Whatever's left of mods are quite fun, especially when playing with friends

In my opinion, the developers are very opaque and rarely takes the advice of the community, especially in regards to what they want to see in the game. Updates are infrequent and most of the focus are redirected to quest.

The developers like to say that they want to "attract more players", but all the updates recently have not only failed to do so but chased away swathes of the playerbase. All of their "ideas" are ones nobody asked for, and turned out to actively harm the growth of the game (it's almost like the community WANTS the game to thrive).

This is especially apparent with update 29, which added migration to UE5 which also bricked every mod. Only a few were ported to UE5 as it had to be done so manually by the community. The update, in return, they only added crossplay with PS5. That's all. P.S. nobody asked for crossplay.

Update 31 added monetisation to the game in the form of skins which is an extremely shallow way of milking the community for whatever is left. They added Pavlov TV too, which nobody asked for either.

By the way, that was most of the content in either update. Barebones, uncreative, and things nobody asked for. Vankrupt at this point has given up on making Pavlov any better and it shows.
