Andrew Anderson, University of Mary Washington
Andrew Anderson has been teaching principles of economics for more than 30 years. In 1999, he received the Grellet C. Simpson Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching at the University of Mary Washington. He is the author of Doing Economics: A Guide to Doing and Understanding Economic Research, as well as a variety of articles on economics pedagogy and instructional technology, published in the Journal of Economic Education, the International Review of Economic Education, and other outlets. He wrote the module on Quantitative Writing for Starting Point: Teaching and Learning Economics, the web portal on best practices in teaching economics. Andrew Anderson lives in Crown Point, Indiana, with his wife Kathy and their three children.

My interests?

First of all, I enjoy reading. My favorite genres being fantasy, psychological horror and all sorts of random topics, like psychology or etymology. I got some experience with improv, while singing and drawing are skills I have to hone.
Loving me some video games, albeit not only as entertainment, but also for the inner workings of various titles. Game design is fun to read, listen, and chat about. Reading and listening to news about the gaming industry is what used to take the vast majority of my time.
I also like playing around with my voice. A recent development that keeps me hoping to improve the quality and majesty of the way I sound, ha. I also have some interest in HEMA and medieval weaponry. Used to be an avid viewer of the likes of Armoured Skeptic, Vernaculis, Thunderf00t, TJ Kirk, Teal Deer and several more.

My personality?

I am a chatty, sassy kobold, who is always glad to spend time on writing with interesting people, although I'm not one to initiate conversations often, unless our chemistry gets truly irresistible. I'd also appreciate if we had something in common before being added, or the convos might sizzle out within a handful of days. And we wouldn't want that now, would we?
