A puzzle game and a puzzling game.

Very well made. More of a "find out" game than a "figure out" game, though.

If the second half meets the standard set by the first half, this will be the greatest game of all time bar none

Although the threads in this game ultimately don't tie together as neatly as I had hoped, this is probably still my GOTY

The new UI style is a significant step backwards. I think in the entire game there was only one time the ability to move the windows around felt even remotely helpful. The rest of the time, it was an annoyance at best and an obstacle at worst. My understanding is that the UI was redesigned to better accommodate the console and mobile versions, but this could have and should have been done in a way that didn't detract from the PC version.

In all other respects, this is essentially a perfect sequel, and I am eagerly awaiting the DLC.

Enjoyable right up until the point when you're ready to start scaling up production and realize that the blueprint system only helps a little bit and there is no other game mechanic coming to free you from the tedium of hooking up power lines and the like. While it lasts longer than most games in this genre, it still ultimately fails the "why am I playing this instead of Factorio" test.

The ending had me absolutely shook 10/10

I'm mad that it took me so long to decide to play this game. But I also have to live with the fact that now I have played it, and it's over, and I can never, ever change that, not in the way that matters.

In other words, this is a true masterpiece.

Arguably the greatest game ever made.

I liked the opening sequence and the second area. I did not particularly like the first area and I was really disappointed by the third area, which felt like it was gearing up for a music puzzle or something, but is actually just a bunch of noisemakers with no game mechanics connecting them. Because the game is both free and very short, I would still leave a positive review just based on the strength of the second area, but there are noticeable performance issues and that puts it over the line for me. There's just no excuse for poor framerates in VR.
