This new shovel knight game is pretty good.

There are few games that simply allow you to just be good at the game. You don't get scaled when fighting lower or higher difficulties, everything is entirely based around how good you actually are. Whether good means mechanically skilled, or knowledgeable is entirely up to the individual player. As someone who sucks at soulslike games, I finally understand the satisfaction.

Premium currency is earnable in game at generous rates, the game hardly feels like a grind, and pushes you to have the most fun possible at any given time.

I also encourage you to do your own research into the anticheat, but it's old news about how bad it is. Chances are you already have it on your system, installing and uninstalling HELLDIVERS 2 will actually remove it from your system entirely.

Games actually pretty good, just having a rough launch with critical server issues. Definitely more popular than devs ever possibly imagined, as a result you can barely play for more than a couple hours IF you can manage to get in. The community manager is doing a great job giving hourly updates to the community, though vague, is a lot better than any other rough launch.

The gameplay is a solid 8/10.
Graphics I'd give a 7/10.

Game is great. Very engaging, progression is solid. It has a few bugs that will get ironed out as they go. There's a cash shop, but it's literally the most generous cash shop you'll see in modern gaming lmao. Don't let review bombers ruin a great game.

If you casually play Runescape and enjoy the gameplay but hate the graphics, slam this in your library and grind out woodcutting

Immortal Empires makes this worth it now, trust me dude.

The game finally feels good. It needed to cook for another year, clearly, but it feels like Battlefield again despite all the differences. One thing stands true that's stated in most of the other reviews; get it on sale.

Edit:
CAPCOM added DRM which kills mod support for everything from Accessibility to cosmetics, in a game that does not have any competitive nature. DRM also broke Steam Deck compatibility. DRM also killed performance by 10-15 frames on a 3080 12gb and 5700x.


Games a good port, no issues so far. It's not as shallow as people would make you think, sure not as much content as world but that game has a few years on Rise. This is a great addition to a great series backed by a great community.
