It has some bugs right now, and parts could be balanced better (the massive penalty to a player for dying early in a zone being that you don't res until after a boss, which has certainly salted friends on runs), and there being only two classes currently is a bit disappointing. However, it has satisfying gunplay, good potential for builds with just enough RNG-based things to feel interesting, and the co-op scaling doesn't feel too easy or too spongy compared to solo.

Absolutely worth the 13-ish dollars to pick this game up, especially considering it's future potential.

Absolutely worth getting if you liked Risk of Rain and you also like 3D shooter-platformers, games with roguelike elements or horde-killers.

Combat is satisfying and action/combo based. Lots of intricate systems to learn and master (or ignore, there's tons of ways to play and plenty of things to do). Worth the 10 dollars or so.

Even though it is in early access, a lot of the systems currently in place are pretty solid. It's a good game go get in with a few friends and build/upgrade a base, kill some time (and zombies), and slowly make your character and gear better from exploration and crafting. The horde nights are one of the best parts.

Good gunplay. Worth checking out since the base game is free, and the Activision sleaze is gone. Still has a cash shop (though this is almost all cosmetics) and some other problems here and there, but overall better than how I felt about the first game and this game while it was on BlizzActivision. The changes to armor that came with Shadowkeep/New Light are interesting, and so is the relic thing from the season pass stuff (it's in the free half, everyone gets it at level 7).

Very good, very visceral shooter with a good set of difficulties to choose from that have large distinctions (as opposed to Halo's Heroic and Legendary, for example.)

Warframe is an excellent 3rd Person Over-the-Shoulder shooter with RPG and MMO aspects. It's a continually evolving and improving piece of interactive media, and there are many quirks and intricacies to the game which would not be done justice by expounding upon them with prose. One of the most exciting things has been to watch Warframe change and grow over the last several years. It's free. You should download it and experience it for yourself. It can run on some fairly low-end machines, and still looks arguably good on lower settings. What have you got to lose?

The Fortuna Update adds even more content to an already content rich game, including mods, a new Viscera-themed Warframe, Garuda, an updated mining mechanic, robo-fish, and animal conservation. Playing it in the past week and a half since release, it adds a good amount of incentive for both new and returning players, as well as a great atmosphere and characters.
