Hate on it all you want, it's still enjoyable to me.

I usually don't like movies that shouldn't be video games.
But this video game should be a movie.

It's pretty good, and I don't even really like Harry Potter.

Lot of graphical issues with Unreal 4, and game is pretty short. But good.
Not worth $60, with that said.

I need more of these on PC.
I haven't owned consoles in years, decades even. But I need more God of War.

I don't like the Souls games, I think it's silly to make a game on the basis of just being difficult.
This is not that, so far as I can tell. Combat in enjoyable, but not mind numbingly tactical.
Yes there are tactics, like any other RPG. Build up your character and gear for awhile, find weapons that fit your playstyle. (you can farm to upgrade weapons in a couple hours, to just below max). I am still using a greatsword, heavy shield and armor (upgraded nearly to max) that I found in the very first area. I die more to misjudging heights than I do to boss fights.

This is more RPG style than the Souls games, and it feels like it. The only thing Souls about it to me is the UI and goofy-ness of some enemies. But I am not hating it, difficult enough to be enjoyable, but not more than that.

The one thing I will say: For the first ~20 minutes of the game, it doesn't explain anything to you, and it feels exactly like Dark Souls. But after that first 20 minutes, suddenly you get tutorials and explanations, and realize they we're just messing with you.

Edit: One major note, it's buggy with fps drops that cause you brain aneurisms while trying to dodge or not fall off a ledge. I found that (illegal) bypassing EAC removed a lot of that, but not all of it. You can just disconnect your internet before launching the game, until it's fixed.
I have not played any multiplayer so far, due to it being unplayable without EAC, and also unplayable with EAC because you get freeze bursts every 40 seconds or so.

Sits comfortably at the 60fps lock at 1080p. Just the random fps drops that go to instant 0 then 20, then 30, then back to 60.

Politics and Drama galore.
Be a leader of anything and you have to play Game of Thrones politics on top of the game.

It's all just so tiresome.

Meh.

Absolutely has potential to be great.
Not much is finished yet, but what is, is very addicting and fun.
