peak VN experience, is what it feels when i played the game.

the patch is needed to view the full experience, otherwise you can only view the first chapter which basically is only an invitation to jump into the rabbit hole

cant recommend this to everyone though, especially to someone that just started on reading VN because some of the scene depicted in this works is downright disturbing.
