I remember watching Markiplier play this, and I enjoyed his playthrough. But I thought I'd give it a shot, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. Very charming and adorable with a hint of horrifying and panicking elements. So far, the only problems I have faced were:
1. I kept getting stuck in and on corners at times.
2. It is an extremely repetitive game, having to go through so many doors in the same hallways over, and over. Of course, there are some different areas, and the layouts would change but they're technically the same types of hallways.
But overall, I enjoyed playing it. I would recommend it for the elements and references of the game. But I would not recommend it for the repetitiveness of it.

I really wish that Steam would have a neutral button as one of their recommendation options, because this is how I'm mostly feeling about this game:
Pros:
- Excellent and beautiful art/graphics.
- Well done scripting and puzzle sequences.
- Pretty good sad story, if you follow through on what's going on (there is quite a lot of symbolism in there).
Cons:
- The maze puzzle was probably the most difficult one of all. I had to look up a walkthrough for that one..."Everyone has one"...Well, newsflash, not everyone has one.
- I have to agree with the majority of reviews about the attic/theater level....That was annoying as heck having to do the same thing over, and over again, basically.
- Would be nice if this game was just a bit longer (I beat it in just a little over an hour). I don't know why but I wish it was.
I would recommend it if you're into games with good puzzles, good art work, creepiness, and whole bunch of surrealism. But I would not recommend it for the attic/theater level.

I remember watching PewdiePie play Dreadout, and I have to say that it is a very interesting game. Sure, it looks like it was inspired by Fatal Frame (only instead of Japanese ghosts, it's Indonesian or Malaysian ghosts) but I still liked the way it looked, and other stuff.
I decided to try this demo because I do plan on getting the full game (eventually, when it goes on sale), along with the dlc story. Plus, I wanted to see if it works well on my laptop because no matter what games I play that have high-res graphics that date back to the PS2 era, it lags. And surprisingly, this game works excellently on my laptop.
The only concern I have so far is how slow Linda moves....That's about it. Then again, Fatal Frame inspired (most likely).

If only there was a neutral button for a recommendation option. I have mixed feelings about this game.
Pros:
- pretty twisted story
- nice use of symbolism
- great art work/graphics
Cons:
- very straight-forward, so it's very easy to play
- more story-based than actual game play (then again, it does say in the description that it's some sort of a story-based game)
- a bit of back-and-forthing
- very short (about 25-30 minutes)
Overall, I would recommend it if you're bored enough to want to pass the time for an interestingly twisted story (if you're into that kind of stuff). However, I would not recommend it due to how short it is, and how easy it is to play it.

This is a pretty well made game. I played it before from GameJolt, and I liked it, so I thought I'd install it in my Steam account and play it again. Even though the graphics are minimal, it doesn't mean the game can't be enjoyable. I love the surreal and horror elements that combine together to create one unique experience and story.
So far the only complaints I have are how the story is pretty tedious to follow, so it's hard to tell if you officially ended the game, or not. And how slow your character moves. And how tedious some of the puzzles can be (like the one with the nooses and the train station). But overall, it is really intense, shocking, unnerving, surreal, cool, twisted....So many words to describe what this game is like. I would recommend it. Can't wait for the other projects similar to this one to be made by this developer.

I have not played the full game because I really suck at PC games. I really wish this was compatible for controllers. But I have watched full gameplay videos of this, and I have to say that this is an amazing mod. Very well done with the scares, soundtrack, enemy designs, etc. The only problems I have are the controls. I can't play games like this on PC, it HAS to be a controller. If this game was compatible with controllers, then I would've played the entire game no problem. The other problem is the voice acting. It does need some work. But overall, amazing mod. Wish this team could make more horror games like this and Afraid of Monsters.

I have to admit that the game is quite charming, the soundtrack is very well done, and it plays with your emotions. However, I'm not pleased with having to pay for this game. You can play games like this for free on Gamejolt, and other indie gaming sites. I also do not see what the big deal of this game is all about. I see Undertale related posts everywhere on Deviantart and Tumblr, and those artists/people are saying that this game is godly and amazing. But for me, personally, it's just another ordinary game, and don't see what the hype is all about. There are other games like this made by classic gaming companies.

Gotta admit that I'm feeling pretty neutral about this game. I still don't see what the big hype of it is all about. Steam really needs to do something about their recommendation options.
Positives:
- Charming characters.
- Excellent soundtrack.
- Neat art style.
- Plays with your emotions.
- Addictive gameplay, depending on your taste in genre.

Negatives:
- The price. I find it to be too expensive. For a game like this, I think it deserves to be at least 3-6 dollars.
- The fans. They treat the game like it's godly. I just don't see what all the hype is about. I see fan art, fan games, etc. made everywhere I go. Games like this have been made before, just a bit different and not too story-driven is all. People need to learn to broaden their horizons and research.

My overall feelings, though, are neutral but are more on the positive side. What ruins the gameplay experience for me, though, is the fandom. Funny how when something becomes a fad, it can mess with your emotions on whether you want to fully like it, or not.
I would recommend the game for your own experience. But what I won't recommend about it is listening to the die-hard fans of how godly it is, and for how much the game's worth. Maybe get it when it's on sale, or something. I made the mistake of buying it at full price, and regret actually paying that much for it.
