LOYALTY DISCOUNT!*

*to buy the first game for $25+ dollars since I already own this game. Plus! two characters that maybe my drunk ass doesn't care about (like Kit Fisto). I Stan the two games separately for $20. BFII is better than BFI. Just buy this game to have classic fun and ignore the new bundle bs they are advertising.

Maybe someday Steam will make an exception to the 2 hour gameplay refund rule. If only I hadn't fallen asleep drunk playing this, I would have my $14.99 back to spend on something worthwhile.

This is nothing like I thought it would be, guess a lesson is learned not to blindly purchase a game a decade late just to "finally play it".

This game is barren. The things that are there are very early physics sandbox levels of entertaining and last only a minute.

If I could, in my roughly two hours of gameplay, recall any part of the game as unique into a list it would be as follows:
Fly a blimp
Fly airplane with machine gun (there's nothing to shoot at)
I sat here for five mins with no new thoughts on what I liked so I gave up

Here's a list of ♥♥♥♥ I hate now lol:
Walking is SLOW
Can't run for more than 5 seconds without falling down and farting (this is a mechanic not a quirk of the physics engine)
It's hard to leave the barren starting area and then when you do it's even MORE barren
Cars are especially slow given the expanse of wasteland you are given
If you are in a body of water for more than 30 seconds you are surrounded by alligators or sharks that swarm and eat you (this is terrible for exploring as spawn points are tens of minutes of walking away from one another)
Probably more that I can't put into words or I am bored

goodbye i love you all please dont spend money on this unless it's a DEEP sale I really can't recommend this to ANYONE

Gameplay in itself is mostly excellent. Dying calls for skill loss but loss is negligible, as well as skills providing little noticeable benefit, and dying is mostly uncommon or you gain your skills back before dying a second time.

If I were to ask for anything while this game develops it would be more building options. As it is, shelters are merely that, a shelter. So, decorating comes naturally as you aren't trying to build to accommodate for too many things.

Your shelter requires:

Roof and walls around workbench
Roof over campfire for protection against rain (optional)

That's it, everything else is free to customize to your liking. My problem lies in variety, you have the basics and honestly it is enough, however limited to:

walls and half walls
two sizes of floor
horizontal, vertical, and angled beams
normal roof tiles and a couple corners
stairs

An issue also lies in that a few tiles are made only for one orientation, such as triangular walls only pointing up, never down.

With the reviews having risen since the dark times of save deletion and forced windowed mode when alt-tabbing, I decided to buy the game on sale and put some time into it.

I enjoyed it and I was glad I spent money on it, until 3 hours into the game I decided to do a hard save that crashed my game, deleted the previous 1 1/2 hour hard save, and reverted my last auto save to that which was 30 minutes into the game. I was left with 2 1/2 hours erased and one autosave that wasn't worth starting again.

If you plan on purchasing this game, feel free to do so, but be aware that it's a rough port to PC, and you could have hours of gameplay erased.

Annoying achievements: Get to a new level? 10 achievements for just reaching the level. Finished that level? 10 More identical achievements.

Puzzles, at least for the first 13 levels, are one click or two clicks and they are solved. Kinda wimpy as the concept isn't hard to grasp. Can only assume the other 12 games are exactly the same.

If this was the last $0.69 game on Earth I wouldn't buy it again.

Wish I could get a refund, but I've already played two hours.

If I could give any review material on it, it's that the difficulty spike goes from easy to insane in less than a few invasions. No, the police force doesn't upgrade slowly, they go from one or two cops with pistols in a small area, to a few cops with pistols. Then after you invade a couple more times, swat teams that take very little damage and are equipped with shotguns, so if you do get a hit off, your zombies die in one or two hits and very quickly. You also only get five seconds to get another zombie down or kill the rest with grenades if all of your zombies die off. A cool mechanic, but not when all zombies die as soon as spawned.

At this point it's nearly impossible to complete a level without help from grenades, and then it throws in hazmats with smgs that kill your zombies quickly.

So in short, the it goes from a chill game, straight to five swat guys with shotguns in one room that obliterate your zombies.

I loved the old games but this is a bit much for me.

*camera under door to check for baddies*
"Target in sight."
*arrange team of two so that one is off to the side and one can shoot the bad guy*
*kicks door open*

My guy didn't have his gun out.

Same level, go to flash around a corner. The game has a very nice throwing line that will let you see where the grenade will go. You can throw around a corner, you can even throw around very sharp corners.

So it tells me my throw is gonna go around the corner. Have you ever been playing a fps and gone to throw a grenade just to have it smack the doorway that was barely even in your view? That's basically just this game in 2D.
