This game is definitely good. Whilst lacking in some areas it excels in others as well. The art design, visual animations and sound are all top tier for sure but as much as they look cool it isn’t always as fun to fight considering half the time the camera can’t even keep up with these lightning fast bosses especially near endgame.

In terms of bosses I find them pretty inconsistent in terms of game play. Most of these “bosses” are extremely underwhelming and very few of them I actually enjoyed fighting. Most of them feel like “that was it?”. The chapter end bosses are fantastic though (except chapter 4’s spider and final boss because of jank hitboxes). Secret final boss kicked my ass and was definitely the only boss that felt even close to souls-like games.
Now lets talk level design. This is where I really thought the game was lacking a lot in that department. A lot of it feels extremely empty and you spend minutes at a time just running because for some reason they never gave us any consistent way to get around quickly with transformations? Also the enemy and boss placement sometimes (especially in the last area) feel very randomly placed and sometimes it starts to feel like you’re in an average MMO. Tons of invisible walls as well that just take you out of the immersion it’s going for.

Story is extremely hard to follow as someone who has never read JTTW so I’m not really sure it was good or not but that doesn’t detract from the game as games like Elden Ring do the same thing so can’t say much on this but what I will say is those chapter ending music videos are gorgeous.

The leveling and gear system is pretty standard and very similar to GOW. Tons of ways to change your build easily which is nice and the respect system works nicely. One thing I will say though is I kind of wish the stances had ways to interchange in and out of each other instead of having to just build your focus and then do a heavy. You pretty much just spam light attack the entire game waiting to build focus and then go for heavies.

Is this game worth your money? Yes.
Is it perfect? No.
Will it get better? Definitely.

It’s a solid entry for the first game in the developers catalog.

100% Recommend. What a refreshing game that is worth your money! Characters are amazing, story is fantastic, Voice acting is incredible and the animated cutscenes could honestly make for a full anime! I want a sequel. Tango Gameworks killed it! What a switch up from Evil Within.

This is everything star wars games should be. It takes everything good about the universe and amplifies it with its souls like gameplay and great characters. Combat is really fun and just expands throughout your playtime. The areas and graphics are absolutely stunning and it really does feel like you're watching the original movies. BD1 is easily my favorite droid and Cal is a good character! That ending had my so damn hyped I can't believe they did that! The only issue I had with the game was the map and exploring the maps. You can get so lost because the objective doesn't really tell you how to get to that area and you can end up backtracking constantly. But in saying that. Fantastic game. Easiest 8/10. I can't wait for the sequel.

Talk about disappointing. Easiest 6/10. Story is extremely short. Combat is so simple. It's turn based combat lol.

Graphics cool, sound cool but the gameplay is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrible I can't believe how much they cater to absolute bots. Bring back connection based matchmaking, permanent lobbies, map voting, red dots on minimap, higher ttk, DEAD SILENCE, and playstyle variety! We've had trash cods for like the past 3-4 years man stop supporting activision until this garbage changes. Refunded.

Its pretty much exactly what I wanted after getting into Soulsborne games. Its multiplayer souls on another level. Highly recommend to anyone who loves souls games and wants a huge multiplayer game with constant boss battles.

Update: Still one of the greatest games of all time. Can't wait for wilds.
