Especially as an aspiring story writet, dismissing it as something harmful and hateful or calling for restrictions on it comes across strongly as completely xenophobic and japanophobic and seems to say the creative process and the selflessness with which so many medium masterminds dedicate themselves to their creations is absolutely worthless and futile.

Okay I know this is sarcastic but it disgusts me to no end when people blatantly disregard those who dedicate their lives to animation and direction and all other creative pursuits in the anime industry. Anime is the last remaining profitable bastion of traditional animation, and while like any medium it has its cheap, market oriented dime a dozen productions, so much has been released that has set precedents and new standards for even the entire entertainment industry as a whole. You can tell so many otherwise unachievable stories with the medium of animation and anime is the one remaining stand with which to express those stories. So much heart and soul is poured from creators into anime and there us so much constantly being found to take things to entirely new levels.
