Running an RTX 4080 with a Ryzen 7 5800X, High raytracing and maxed ultra settings at 3840 x 2160.
Not getting any stutters/lag nor have I crashed. Idk what everyone is crying about but either keep your $h!t up to date or understand that your rig can't run at max/high settings.

Don't review bomb a game for its performance at launch which is your own fault.

Currently have 20 hours played, 4 straight hours was towards utilizing the "Potentinflator" on a coromon with 19 points hard-resetting to get 2 points for the perfect 21.

Spoiler: I gave up on this and max i could achieve in this time absolutely wasted was a 1 point increase even though i find it super dumb that i have other coromon with 17 points and was able to achieve a 3 point increase to 20 fairly quickly but that 2 point jump from 19 to 21 is somehow impossible.
FYI i'm a fairly hardcore pokemon shiny collector so i understand the grind because there are so many methods to increase your odds but this specific idea is just RNG hell in which i can't even pay more to increase my odds or anything.

Other than this rant i think the game (from what i even played) is a nice pokemon alternative in terms of other gameplay mechanics and variety. I would for sure recommend this game just know that you might wanna kill yourself if you're a perfectionist like myself.

Not gonna make you read all dat.
It's a solid game, fun mechanics, great variety, thrilling story with some great visuals and soundtracks.

The only realistic thing i can complain about is some bosses have 2 stages and you have to restart entirely to stage 1 every time you die.
I understand that we need to learn boss mechanics and when to perfect guard but this specific mechanic was a poor design choice simply because it creates loads more frustration by forcing the player to create ways to cheese these bosses rather than playing with their own style to approach the situation.

Not going to spoil anything but 2 bosses in mind do this and you will finally understand why god created ALT F4

(NO SPOILERS REVIEW)

First off, i am a big Deck-Building Roguelike/ Card game player and i also am a fan of Devolver Digital so i decided to pick this game up.

I went in totally blind and i suggest if you purchase this game, you should too. Devolver Digital always adds lots of secrets and challenges to their games so it's very fun to see them unravel when you find them yourself.

If i could describe this game in a nutshell without boring you i would call it a cool twist on Hearthstone-type gameplay with the creepy feel and art of Undertale. In all honesty this game is as creative as it gets, i really am impressed on all of the features that i don't wanna spoil... But what i can say is that there is a TON of card combos and abilities (more than i anticipated) and gets crazier and more in depth the longer you play.

It's not just a card game though, there is a story and lets just say there's more than meets the eye here... I really can't say much else about it without ruining it for you.

I personally, beat the game and it takes you for an INSANE ride. If you love card games and a wicked story, i would definitely give this a try!

Extremely good deckbuilder, i personally got this game Pre-ordered at the time of purchasing and still see the Dev's add more free updates to the game. I'll often come back to this game when im bored of any main games i'll be playing, so this game personally can only catch my attention for a couple of runs at a time.

Insanely addictive card game with very interesting story progression and very enjoyable replay-ability. A single good play through could last up to around 3 hours if you play your cards right ;)

As of 16 hours played right now and still enjoying the game, my tips for anyone new thinking about coming into this game would be...
(1) Turn off Narrator by putting the Narrator volume to 0 (OR) Change the Narrator speech to Japanese and you will feel like it's a little more nicer on the ears when you hear him talk while you read the subtitles.

(2) The first about hour and a half (about around the time you should reach level 4-5) is ENTIRELY a tutorial and they never say that to you so I've seen a LOT of people be turned off during that time because they get zero functional loot besides health-packs and they just get frustrated cause it is definitely very slow and underwhelming. If you come into the game knowing this then you will be way less angry leaving the game too soon and not giving it a real chance.

(3) This game to me feels like a mix of Ratchet&Clank, BreathofTheWild, and for some odd reason a No mans-Sky vibe in the surroundings. Now with that being said, this game was made with a 20-person company and knowing that astounds me because of how fun the game is but at the same time i know for a fact that some parts feel very empty and repetitive for that reason. The game in a nutshell is cool fight combos, Lots of looting, funny characters, Tons of different enemies, wacky boss fights and all of this is so refreshing and such a nice change of pace for once.

In conclusion, sometimes you just gotta realize not every $60 game you're gonna buy will change your life and fill that void you felt you were missing. If people keep complaining about a $60 price point for new game releases, then smaller companies like these will almost never grow and get a chance to compete with the AAA developers. For what this is, it's a solid game for the dev team who made it and i choose to support their great work done here. This game would do so well with a BIOMUTANT 2 and a bigger dev team because they already made a solid foundation for what this game does well and shows us what needs to be filled in for them next time if they decide to go that route.

This game is definitely worth the purchase. Not a perfect AAA game but it contains TONS of content and enjoyable storytelling. As of right now i played 36 hours and im level 28 in game so i have lots more to go through. If you love RPG's and can look past some small problems then why not go for it?

Loads of fun, great vibes with the cartoon feel and cute story. If you like nintendo games then id recommend this cause it's the closest thing you'll get to those kinds of games on steam.
