I think I've played long enough to offer an opinion on this game...

Around 900 of my hours were played solo. Just because none of my friends were interested in MMOs/Final Fantasy, so I can attest that even a solo player will enjoy this game so long as they like long and interesting lore, fun gameplay/combat/minigames, I've got this many hours and yet I'm nowhere near done getting the mounts/achievements I wanna get and so much more.

If you have the time, are remotely interested in a JRPG story and like MMO aspects, give this game a try.
