It was a lonely night on the road to my babushka's house. The rain pelted my windshield as i went double the speed limit. I could smell her stew, the scent raised not from a pot but from memory. It drove me, as I drove to it. The flashing red blue lights behind me yanked me from my concentration. Through my gritted teeth I pulled over. Once on the side of the road I hid my empty Vodka bottles in the back seat and put my firearm in the center console. I rolled the window down as the officer walked up. Shining a light in my eyes so I could not see his face he spoke,

"We are looking for a Child Molester..."

I gripped the steering wheel tighter, another distraction from my journey. But destiny was calling, and I would be dammed to find it wanting.

"I'll do it." I said.
