With a couple of hiccups (that are clearly going to be patched), this port was more than I could've asked for from RGG studio. It plays nicely on my PC (GTX1070, i7-7700K, Ultra w/o SSAO, ~100 FPS @ 1080p), I never dip under 60 at all. The game is a remake of Yakuza 2, with some added story goodies to help fit plot holes and more minigames that come from other games (i.e. Clan Creator from Y6), and uses RGG's very very nice Dragon engine. I recommend playing through Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 1 first, as the impact of many of the characters and story won't be as strong; However, there are recaps of the story of Kiwami 1 at the beginning of the game (Playing through 0/Kiwami is better though). Overall, this was worth the $30 for me in it's fullest, regardless of whether or not others agree.

Update: I have now officially completed it 100% (w/ all achievements) and I just wanna mention that this game has so much replayability it didn't feel as "grindy" as many might believe. Ubisoft games clutter 100% with stuff like "go to this island grab these 10000 collectables" which absolutely bores me to death as the 100% process is 50 hours of grabbing stuff from different places with no difference in combat. This game feels different. You move on from learning the ins and outs of mahjong to fighting the Amons (which is hell without proper equipment, just saying). Sometimes it got infuriating as the requested amount was made for "playing over time" and not "doing it all in one sitting", but overall this game was the most fun to 100% of the series. I recommend 100%'ing full heartedly if you want to experience all the features of the game, and learn some Japanese gambling games too.
